Shadow was designed as the ultimate lifeform, combining genetic enhancements and extraterrestrial influences to grant him extraordinary abilities, including super speed, strength, and the potential for immortality.

During his time on a space station, Shadow formed a close bond with Maria, who treated him with kindness and compassion. Her dreams of a peaceful world left a lasting impression on him. However, tragedy struck when the government deemed the project a threat and sent forces to shut it down. In the chaos, Maria was fatally wounded, but before her death, she pleaded with Shadow to protect humanity and ensure her dreams of a better world were realized. Shadow was then placed in stasis and forgotten for decades.
