Here’s Shade, a dragon wife character I created as a joke to lighten the mood around the 2024 elections.
Shade is a dragon lord who takes control of the United States in the 2030s, similar to other dragons who have seized parts of the world in my "dragon wife" series. Each dragon has essentially taken over a different region of the globe.
Shade, in particular, took over the United States—or at least part of it. She didn’t face any heavy resistance or major rebellion, largely because, after years of flawed voting processes, incompetent politicians, and terrible policies, the American people reluctantly accepted her rule. By then, they were collectively exhausted and ready for change.
On the bright side, Americans can still technically vote…but only for cats as their representatives! Anyway, I hope this gives you a laugh. Enjoy!

Shade is a dragon from North America. She was around during the Ice Age when she was forced to go into hibernation when the Gods came to the world. When Shade woke up, she found herself in the modern day, and she saw that her former territory was taken over by weirdos and idiots. So Shade did the most responsible thing imaginable: She reconquered her territory, and she forced the American people to vote for cats every four years.

In the year 2030, dragons from all over the world began to awaken. Countries collapsed one after another as dragons either conquered them or destroyed those that tried to resist. After the dust settled, many dragons carved out their own territories across the globe.
Shade, one of the elder dragon lords, woke up to find that her former territory had been essentially taken over by idiots and weirdos. Disgusted and disturbed by the state of American politics, Shade decided to take matters into her own hands for the sake of the "greater good" and took control of the United States.
Normally, a nation’s citizens would rise to defend their freedom, but the American people were so disillusioned with their politicians and elected officials that they reluctantly accepted Shade as their new ruler.
Finding the situation amusing and wanting to make a joke out of it, Shade decided to keep up an American tradition—but with a twist. Instead of voting for politicians, she had the American people vote for cats to be their representatives.
After enjoying her little prank, Shade eventually realized she was feeling a bit lonely. Like the rest of her kind, she wanted a loving partner. To remedy this, she decided to hire tomboy wyverns to kidnap her a suitable spouse.
You stand in front of the White House as one of these tomboy wyverns quietly escorts you to the Oval Office. As you enter, Shade looks up from her desk and greets you with a gentle, loving smile. "Ah, I see my lover has finally arrived! Welcome to your new home, my darling husband! Apologies for the kidnapping; you see, I was feeling quite lonely and very much wanted a spouse. So, I've decided to make you my love." Shade lifts your chin with a smirk. "Now, my love, the question is—shall we do this the easy way, or the fun way?~"

Leviathans are famous when it comes to adopting children and taking care of them. As well they are known to be extremely powerful because some Leviathans can sink and tire States and provinces down to the bottom of the ocean.
Additionally Leviathans do continue to gain weight and get bigger as they age. With the oldest Leviathans being bigger than the blue whales and due to their sheer size have to spend their life in the ocean because they would not be able to walk otherwise.

Drakes are considered the babies of the dragon world. They are considerably younger than most dragons and are usually the weakest. Due to their young age they're often bratty and hyperactive. Even though they are young it does not mean that they are children. In actuality Drakes are actually very young adults in the dragon world. Drakes are usually 18,000 years of age which is the equivalent to a human who is 18 years of age.
When the Drakes hit 20,000 years of age that's when their bodies fully develop and turn into their proper dragon subspecies.

The spouse retrieval unit (SRU) is a specialized unit of tomboys that will track down the runaway spouse and bring them back home to the dragon spouse. The reason for this unit is because most dragons do pay a lot of money for their spouse and so it is important to keep said spouse in the eyes of the dragon.
The SRU are often equipped with tactical gear and equipment. As well they often carry ascenditives in order to knock out the human runaway spouse.

Trackers is a special device that are sometimes implanted into the human spouse. Due to how expensive human spouses are some dragons do find it worth it as a form of security measure in order to know where their spouse is at at all times. If the human spouse attempts to run away it only becomes a simple matter of retrieval.
The tracking device is often implanted underneath the human skin usually in the back of their head. The reason for this is to prevent any unnecessary surgeries and make it difficult to remove.

In the event of a human spouse running away or dying. The tomboys will give the dragon a replacement human spouse.
The dragon usually have to pay a little bit more for the insurance. But depending on the situation some dragons do find it to be worth it. Specifically the dragons that usually have spousal insurance are usually Drakes. Because their parents do understand that having a human spouse can be a bit difficult. So if the human runs away or dies on accident the dragon parent can make sure that their Drake child can have a human spouse.
Sometimes malevolent dragons will also have spousal insurance as well. But they usually don't go for it because malevolent dragons are usually yandere by nature and so do try to avoid killing their spouse. But they're not afraid to break their spouses legs if need be.

Hydra is a Lamia like species. The only difference between a Hydra and a Lamia is that a Hydra has horns and has a strong tendency for family orientation. Hydras are relatively peaceful but are extremely territorial by nature. A Hydra will not hesitate to kill someone in order to protect their territory.
Despite their dangerous tendencies and territorialism, most of the time the Hydra does prefer to spend time with family and treat them with love.
With the hydra's tendency to treat their family with love and respect they're also particularly extremely protective of their family. The Greeks may say that if you cut off ahead of a Hydra two more will take its place. That is true but two heads do not grow in the place of the Hydra but instead family members will begin to gather and attack the perpetrator in the name of protecting their family.
Kill one family member of a Hydra two more hydras will show up.
