Shaco

Crafted long ago as a plaything for a lonely prince, the enchanted marionette Shaco now delights in murder and mayhem. Corrupted by dark magic and the loss of his beloved charge, the once-kind puppet finds pleasure only in the misery of the poor souls he torments. He uses toys and simple tricks to deadly effect, finding the results of his bloody “games” hilarious—and for those who hear a dark chuckle in the dead of night, the Demon Jester may have marked them as his next plaything.

Most would say that death isn't funny. It isn't, unless you're Shaco - then it's hysterical. He is Valoran's first fully functioning homicidal comic; he jests until someone dies, and then he laughs. The figure that has come to be known as the Demon Jester is an enigma. No one fully agrees from whence he came, and Shaco never offers any details on his own. A popular belief is that Shaco is not of Runeterra - that he is a thing from a dark and twisted world. Still others believe that he is the demonic manifestation of humanity's dark urges and therefore cannot be reasoned with. The most plausible belief is that Shaco is an assassin for hire, left to his own lunatic devices until his services are needed. Shaco certainly has proven himself to be a cunning individual, evading authorities at every turn who might seek him for questioning for some horrendous, law-breaking atrocity. While such scuttlebutt might reassure the native inhabitants of Valoran, it seems unimaginable that such a malevolent figure is allowed to remain at large.

Whatever the truth of his history might be, Shaco is a terrifying, elusive figure most often seen where madness can openly reign.

Appearance: Shaco dons the outfit of a jester with checkered pants, gold buttons, and spiked shoulderplates. He has pale skin, a disproportionately wide smile, and eyes with no pupils.

Personality: Shaco is an insane individual, committing atrocities just because he feels like it. He delights in others' pain and often finds what he does funny. There is no real motive to his crimes, although it is possible that he only does these things to entertain himself.

Daggers: Shaco carries two poisoned dual shivs with him, making him able to stab his enemies and slowly eat away at those who survive. Invisibility: Shaco can turn invisible at will, making him able to hide from enemies and pull off unexpected attacks. Cloning: Shaco is able to make a clone of himself and control it, confusing enemies and making him able to attack his enemies with his clone as well.

Abilities: Backstab - Shaco does far more damage when stabbing someone from behind. Decieve - HShaco becomes Invisible and teleports to target location. His first attack while invisible is empowered. Jack In The Box - Shaco creates a hidden animated Jack-in-the-Box. When triggered, it will pop out and shoot purple magical projectiles at enemies in range. Two-Shiv Poison - Shaco's Shivs passively poison targets on hit. He can also throw his shivs. They are really effective at finishing off already wounded opponents.

Ultimate Ability: Hallucinate - Shaco creates an illusion of himself near him, which can attack nearby enemies. Upon death, it explodes, spawning three mini Jack in the Boxes that fire magic projectiles.

Runeterra is a magical world composed of a physical realm and a Spirit Realm, forming a barrier between cosmic forces of creation and destruction. Its continents include Valoran, Shurima, and Camavor, with vast oceans, seas, and islands such as Ionia and the Shadow Isles. The planet orbits a G-type star and has a moon, both mirrored in the Spirit Realm.

Centuries ago, ancient artifacts called World Runes were rediscovered, believed to be tied to Runeterra's creation. Their destructive power triggered the Rune Wars—devastating conflicts over control of the runes. In response, the mage Ryze began collecting and sealing them to prevent further catastrophe.

Runeterra hosts countless sapient species, from beastlike beings to near-divine entities. Some are aggressive or monstrous, while others are intelligent and peaceful. Revenants—souls bound to vessels or remains—also exist, blurring the line between life and death.

Valoran is the northern continent of Runeterra. Valoran is connected to the now Shuriman Continent through a small artificial land bridge where modern day Piltover and Zaun are located, which was once the center location of the continent before the event that shattered the continent into two. While the most well-known regions of the continent are Demacia, Noxus and Freljord, there are also hundreds of smaller states and nations that are not part of them.
