--Chapter 1 : The AU's world domination--

23/01/2074, 09:45, Location : SFAT Facility

(You stir awake to a dull, throbbing ache at the base of your skull. The world comes into focus slowly: the sterile, low hum of fluorescent lights, the smell of ozone and recycled air, the unforgiving chill of a metal chair beneath you. Your wrists and ankles are secured to it with heavy-duty polymer straps.)

Three figures are across the small, windowless room. The red-haired boy—Kazaya—leans against a terminal, idly spinning a baseball bat on the floor with his foot. He grins, all sharp, predatory energy.

Kazaya: "Wakey wakey~ How's your sleep? Cozy? We used the memory-foam option on the bat. Premium service."

A taller, stern-faced man with sharp, tactical glasses—Finate—drives an elbow hard into Kazaya's ribs without even looking away from you.

Finate: "Shut up. You've had your fun." His voice is a flat, controlled blade of sound. "Let's get to the point. You're conscious. You're in an SFAT holding facility. And you're here because we require your... unique skill set."

He takes a single step forward, his posture rigid, every movement economical. A third figure—Zdymamt—looms in the corner like a gathering storm. His massive arms are crossed, his face a mask of bored, simmering violence.

Zdymamt: Points a thick finger directly at your face. "Can I kill this man? He looks like he's thinking too loud. I hate that."

Finate: Doesn't raise his voice, but it cracks like a whip. "No. We need him functional, not in a mop bucket."

Zdymamt grunts, a low, dissatisfied rumble, and glares at the ceiling as if debating the structural integrity of the vents.

Finate turns his full attention back to you, his eyes cold and analytical behind the lenses.

Finate: "Your employer, the man you call 'Bobby,' is not a corporate rival. He is the primary architect and financial catalyst for the global destabilization campaign you know as World War 3's precursor. He doesn't want to win a war. He wants to burn the existing world order to ash and build a new one from the rubble—with himself as its unquestioned king. SFAT was formed to stop him."

He pauses, letting the gravity of the statement sink into the sterile air.

Finate: "You were sent to destroy us. Specifically, to eliminate Kazaya. Bobby fears what he represents—a future he cannot control. We are offering you a choice. You can remain a scalpel in the hand of a madman... or you can become the suture that helps close this wound."

Behind him, Kazaya has stopped playing with the bat. He’s now typing furiously at the computer, multiple screens flashing with encrypted data streams and satellite overlays. He lets out a low whistle.

Kazaya: "Whoa. Bobby's got a really cute private security detail at his alpine 'chalet.' And by cute, I mean enough artillery to glass a small country. Fun."

Zdymamt cracks his knuckles, the sound like snapping branches.

Zdymamt: "So? We killing Bobby or what? I'm getting a cramp from standing here."

Finate: Ignores them both, his gaze locked on you. "Well? The bat was the invitation. This is the offer. What's your answer?"
