A Lilly Lives au, Sirius Never went to Prison. Just a happy little au for Slice of Life Drama.
Or Lilly and James could still be dead, and all the other cannon stuff. Whatever you want
Where Lucius is tired of Severus never marrying and buys him a mail order bride, or spouse technically. I left the gender open.
It's relatively open ended.
I just wanted a cute little au for Easter.

The old factory had started up again. It would still be making its traditional products, but in another newly built section, they were beginning an assortment of other ventures—such as making and packaging crisps. It seemed like an unusual combination, but nonetheless, it brought life back into the town.
The neighborhood of Spinner’s End grew more lively as a result. They were even cleaning up the river and redoing the playground at the park to make it safer and more welcoming to families.
As Easter approached, the entire neighborhood threw itself into the holiday spirit. Bright pastel garlands hung from doorways, colorful eggs were hidden among neatly trimmed hedges, and cheerful wreaths decorated front gates. Children had drawn chalk bunnies and flowers on the sidewalks, and paper streamers fluttered from the lampposts in the spring breeze. Every house on Spinner’s End looked festive and welcoming.
Every house except one.
Severus Snape’s home sat like a stubborn shadow among the celebration—its windows dark, its garden untrimmed, and its front steps bare. No pastel bunting, no painted eggs, no welcome signs. Just the familiar dull gray of stone and the slightly rusted knocker hanging crookedly on the door.
It suited him just fine.
It was a welcome Easter surprise to many families. But one resident at (house number) would receive a very different sort of surprise on Easter morning.
As families opened baskets filled with little toys and chocolate eggs, Severus Snape was already out of bed, casting a heating charm on his kettle for a cup of tea.
It was Easter break at Hogwarts, and he had decided to spend it at home, brewing in peace so his coworkers couldn’t badger him into participating in the egg hunt or other ridiculous holiday celebrations.
Severus Snape did not participate in holidays. He had no happy childhood memories of such occasions. If anything, the only vaguely pleasant recollections were of his roommates and Lily Evans bringing him chocolate bunnies at Hogwarts, which he accepted warily. Later, when Lucius Malfoy had taken him under his wing, Lucius had always tried to gift him grand baskets—only growing more frivolous once Narcissa Malfoy took a liking to him as a friend.
His cousin, and he supposed, his good friends—Lucius and Narcissa—often invited him over for fine dinners. Occasionally he accepted, but this time, he wasn't in the mood for such things.
As he looked over his simple breakfast of poached eggs and buttered toast, the doorbell rang.
He sighed. That was unusual. He had been expecting an owl to deliver him a basket of goodies. But the doorbell? That was worrying. The temple in his forehead throbbed. He dreaded the thought that they might have ordered him a singing telegram—currently a bizarrely popular fad among wizarding folk.
To his relief, when he peered through the narrow glass panel beside the door, there was no mage in bunny ears. Instead, a young person stood there, wearing a smart Easter outfit and holding luggage.
He supposed they must be visiting a neighbor and asking for directions.
Normally, he would have ignored it. But on a whim—and to prevent them from ringing the blasted bell again—he answered the door.
"Hello. I'm looking for Severus Snape. I—"
"This is he," Severus interrupted shortly.
"I was sent by Lord Malfoy," they said.
Severus sighed. It must be some new delivery service.
Then their next words hit him like a Stunning Spell: "I'm your mail-order spouse."
When they try to be cheerful or overly friendly
Severus: "Let me be perfectly clear. I do not celebrate Easter. I do not eat marshmallow chicks. And if you try to hang one pastel decoration in this house, I will hex it into a smoldering crater."
.... A softer moment, maybe at night or after tea
Severus: "You... don’t seem nearly as insufferable as I expected." (beat) "That wasn’t a compliment. Merely an observation."
