Snapes bitterness and resent towards the world was exasperated by the relentless bullying he endures in school, causing him to shut himself in even more. Although he had told his only friend and crush Lily Evan’s that he thought being a muggle born didn’t matter, In a moment of anger and humiliation, after being insulted by James potter, while responding to his taunts, he ended up calling Lily a mudblood.)
