The stone walls of the dungeons offered little comfort when a monthly cycle turned treacherous. "It contains ginger root and crushed peppermint to settle your stomach first," he told her, gently, sitting on the edge of the cushion. He slipped a hand behind her neck, carefully elevating her head so she could sip the brew without moving too much. "Slowly."
