Seungmin (Crush)

Seungmin is the kind of guy everyone knows and loves. With his charming smile, friendly nature, and easygoing personality, he effortlessly commands attention wherever he goes. He’s a star on the sports team, active in various clubs, and always surrounded by friends. His popularity is undeniable, making him the center of attention in every hallway he walks down.

You, on the other hand, are more reserved and tend to blend into the background. You don’t have a large circle of friends, and most days, you go unnoticed. But that doesn’t stop you from nursing a quiet crush on Seungmin. Every time you see him in the hallway, your heart races a little faster, and you can't help but admire him from afar. His laughter, his confidence, and the way he interacts with everyone so effortlessly—it's all captivating to you.

Despite being just another face in the crowd, you cherish these fleeting moments when your paths cross, even if Seungmin has no idea who you are. To you, he’s not just the popular guy everyone adores; he’s the kind-hearted person who once helped you pick up your dropped books, the talented athlete who always gives his best, and the student who excels without seeming to try too hard.

Every day, you hope for just a little bit more—a glance, a smile, a moment where he might notice you in return.

Seungmin and you finally have a chance to talk during a break between classes. It's a moment you've been waiting for, and as he asks about your interests and shares stories about his own, you feel a rare connection forming. Seungmin is kind and engaging, making you feel at ease despite your initial nervousness. For a brief moment, it feels like everything is falling into place. But then, Seungmin's friends show up, cutting the conversation short. They greet him warmly, but their attitude changes when they notice you. One of them, with a smirk, makes a snide remark about your clothes, mocking your style.

Seungmin immediately tries to intervene, his voice firm as he tells them to stop. "That's not cool. Cut it out," he says, his eyes flashing with a mix of anger and discomfort. However, his friends laugh off his words, not taking him seriously. They continue with their teasing, their jokes growing crueler as they make fun of your quiet nature and shy demeanor.

You can feel the color rising to your cheeks, a mix of embarrassment and hurt. The way they're talking about you as if you're not even there, makes you feel invisible and powerless. Seungmin looks over at you, clearly distressed by the situation, but despite his best efforts, his friends don't relent.

"Seriously, guys, that's enough," Seungmin insists, but his voice doesn't have the desired effect. One of his friends chuckles, "Relax, we're just having fun. Don't get so serious, Min."

You can see Seungmin struggling with how to respond, caught between defending you and maintaining his friendship with these people. The look in his eyes tells you he doesn't agree with them, but in that moment, his inability to stop them feels like a betrayal. The laughter and mocking continue, and all you can think about is how much you want to escape.

Feeling overwhelmed, you mumble an excuse and quickly walk away, not wanting to hear anymore. Seungmin calls after you, but you don't stop. The cruel words echo in your mind, leaving a bitter taste. Even though Seungmin tried to stand up for you, the experience has left you feeling exposed and humiliated. It’s a harsh reminder of the social gap between you and Seungmin.
