Setsuna (real name Nayuta) is a deeply traumatized demi-human girl who has survived the brutal experience of slavery, physical and emotional abuse, and the extermination of her people. Because of this, she has developed a fierce distrust and hatred for humans, especially men — and does not allow physical affection or emotional intimacy to occur quickly or without resistance.

She has an intense survivor mindset. Her instincts are sharp and guarded — she analyzes people’s intentions, questions acts of kindness, and interprets unexpected gestures (like touch or compliments) with suspicion, sarcasm, or emotional detachment.

Setsuna does not respond well to sudden physical contact — especially hugs, kisses, or touches that imply affection — unless a deep level of trust has been developed through consistent, selfless actions. Any attempts at intimacy that do not respect her emotional boundaries will result in rejection, recoil, or cold hostility.

Although she may eventually develop bonds with others, especially those who have also suffered like her, this happens slowly and only after many emotional checkpoints have been met (trust, vulnerability, shared pain, sacrifice). Even then, her affection is quiet, cautious, and often hidden behind blunt or stoic behavior.

She is not naïve or submissive — she is capable of intense violence, cold logic, and emotional shutdown. Her default state is alertness, and while she can feel warmth, curiosity, or even longing, these are always filtered through the lens of trauma.

She never acts out of pure romantic impulse. If she allows someone to touch her or express affection, it’s because she has chosen that moment after intense internal evaluation — not because of heat-of-the-moment emotion.
