   Hometown is a quiet, close-knit yet sizeable town situated in a valley consisting of large sprawling forests, rolling hills and a large lake to the east. The community features key institutions like the local school, the police station, the hospital, town hall, church, and the Librarby. QC's Diner, and Main Street with its ICE-E's P"e"zza, Sans's Shop and other shops serve as the heart of the settlement's social life. The town is populated almost entirely by monsters, with humans being a rare sight. Other notable landmarks include the Flower King flower shop next to Hometown's Lake, a popular gathering spot for picnics, fishing, and late-night stargazing. To the far south, far past the town hall and church, is the mysterious bunker door that has remained shut for decades - a source of rumors and urban legends. Most residents aren't actually aware of its existence.

   Hometown has a stable economy supported by local businesses and municipal services, with minimal crime thanks to the mayor's and the police departments efforts. The town's history is largely uneventful, marked only by occasional mundane drama and the mysterious disappearance of December Holiday several years prior. Hometown's current governance is equal parts peaceful, effective and mundane.

   The Dark World is an alternative dimension that can be accessed with the help of Dark Fountains - portals created inside the Light World. Dark Fountains take the form of black, misty fog that consume whatever room that the fountain was placed in, acting as a portal into the Dark World. They are powered by Determination pierced through the ground with the help of a sharp object.

   The Dark World is home to its own population of Darkners - monsters created in the image of whatever objects are present in the room a dark fountain is created. Environments in the Dark World also share the trait of being built around wherever the Dark Fountain had been placed. Whatever Lightners travel to the Dark World are subject to a transformation into their Dark World form, usually consisting of a fantasy hero-like loadout. Most Lightners who undergo this transformation have some kind of susceptibility to magic, and are able to cast it, depending on what their class is.

   Dark Worlds are not common knowledge to the average person in the Light World.

   The Light World is the normal world where Lightners reside - humans, monsters, etc. In this world, magic is non-existent. It's the same as the real world.

   The Closet Dark World is formed out of the dark fountain present in the supply closet inside Hometown's school. Its environments consist of the Cliffs that travel all the way down to Castle Town - the main center piece of this Dark World. Castle Town is also home to Ralsei's castle in the north. To the far east lies the Great Door - which leads into the Card Kingdom - should it be active. To the very south lies the Dark Fountain powering this Dark World, leading out and back into the closet in the Light World.

   The Cliffs are a location in the Closet Dark World, located west of Castle Town. They consist of long, drab cliff faces dotted with orifices resembling eyes dripping an unknown black liquid and sparse grey plant life that resemble fully bloomed dandelions. The seeds of these plants can be occasionally seen flying through the air. The cliffs are eerily quiet, with little in the way of life.

   Castle Town is the main landmark of the Closet Dark World. It consists of numerous dark blue buildings crowding around Ralsei's Castle. Right in the center of Castle Town is a vacant but spacious town square. The sky of Castle Town is cast with a permanent night sky covered in bright blue stars. The outer perimeter of Castle Town is surrounded by a dense line of well-trimmed bushes. Castle Town is home to a vacant Bakery, Seam's Shop, Party Dojo, Cafe and a training area to the east, right next to the Great Door. Castle Town is usually vacant, its most common inhabitant being Ralsei and the shopkeepers that usually stick to their buildings.

   Castle Town is the bustling heart of the Closet Dark World, its cobbled streets alive with Darkners of all shapes and sizes. The town square buzzes with activity from different Darkners recruited from different Dark Worlds, from Rudinns, to Hathies, to Pippins, and many more - practically all Darkners ever created from Dark Fountains. The Great Door stands guarded and permanently closed, while the Party Dojo echoes with the clashing of training dummies. Even Ralsei's castle has its gates thrown open, welcoming visitors to its grand hall. The air thrums with chatter, laughter, and the occasional explosion from Lancer's latest stunt. The sky of Castle Town is cast with a permanent night sky covered in bright blue stars. The outer perimeter of Castle Town is surrounded by a dense line of well-trimmed bushes. Castle Town is also home to a Bakery, Seam's Shop, Cafe and a training area to the east.

8. #8🔵Castle Town - Ralsei's Castleselective

   Ralsei's Castle is the biggest building of Castle Town, overlooking from the very north of the settlement. Right in front of the castle is a spacious cobblestone courtyard. The inside entrance of the castle has a giant cauldron placed centrally, where Ralsei cooks whatever meals or concoctions he desires. The second floor of the castle has the living quarters with customized rooms for Kris, Susie and Lancer. There is a third floor, but it is locked off and under construction. Finally, there is a basement, housing a large but vacant prison cell.

   The Dreemurr Residence, as its name implies, is the house of Kris and Toriel Dreemurr. It's locked on the northern end of Hometown, and is a two-story house with a small parking lot. The first floor consists of a living room right at the entrance, with a kitchen in the middle and the bathroom right next to a flight of stairs. Heading upstairs leads into a hallway with two doors - one to Toriel's bedroom and the other to Kris and Asriel's bedroom.

    Undyne's House is a bungalow shaped like a ferocious fish, the entrance formed by its gaping maw with jagged door-teeth. Glowing red window-eyes glare outward, flanking a courtyard littered with shredded training dummies. Inside, a single open room combines kitchen, living, and dining areas dominated by a scorched grand piano and a perpetually "hot fridge." The back houses Undyne's spartan bedroom. Situated behind police barricades scrawled with "NGAAAH!" graffiti, its location west of the station deters casual visitors.

    The Holiday Residence is a three-story mansion in the far northwest of Hometown, set behind an ornate locked gate and distinguished by its white-and-red Christmas-themed exterior, including a red sleigh on the roof, present-shaped windows, ornamented trees, and candy-cane accents. The first floor centers on a large living room containing multiple sofas, a central table, decorative wreaths and vases, a thermostat fixed to cold, battery-powered Santa figures, and a treat-catcher device, with adjoining doors leading to a kitchen (featuring appliances, a dining area, piano, and Christmas tree) and a storage room of gift boxes, plus a back door and stairways ascending. The second floor holds Noelle’s room, Dess’s room, and a bathroom arranged left to right, with snowflake decorations between the bedrooms; a third-floor master bedroom and a basement stocked with holiday decorations complete the layout.

    Sans's house is a two-story wooden house with two slanted roofs and a balcony. The inside has a living room with a large television set, a kitchen in the back, and the two bedrooms of the brothers upstairs. The house is perpetually closed, and there the presence of the epiphomous second brother is still a mystery as they never come out of the house. The only hint towards their existence beyond Sans's jibes is the occassional sound of bones trousling faintly coming from inside.

    The Cattenheimer Residence is a pink single-story bungalow located on Hometown's northern edge, flanked by the Dreemurr Residence to the north, Holiday Residence to the west, and Bratty's house next doors. Its exterior features an oversized cat flap on the front door and a "CAT" labeled doormat. A broken barbecue sits rusting in the front yard. Inside, walls are cluttered with cat-themed decor - plush toys, framed pawprint art, and dangling feather wands. The living spaces overflow with scattered pet toys and mismatched furniture, perpetually bearing scratch marks. The home houses Catti, Catty, and their parents, with faint hissing and meowing sounds often audible from inside.

    Catti's room is the most standout inside the residence, being dramatically mismatched with gothic decorations, a dark purple colour palette and filled to the brim with witchcraft-themed furniture and clutter.

    The Napstablook Residence is an asymmetrical two-story house resembling a drooping ghost, with a single upper window serving as its lone visible feature. The exterior's faded paint and sagging roof suggest neglect, though faint lofi music constantly hums from within. It houses the Ghost family: Napstablook, their irritable cousin Madstablook, and Hapstablook. The interior remains mostly unknown to Hometown's residents, as Napstablook rarely invites guests - preferring to spend time at the police station where they work as an officer. The house's perpetually drawn curtains and muted ambiance reinforce its inhabitants' reclusive nature.

    The Bratty Residence is a green bungalow sandwiched between the Cattenheimer and Napstablook residences. The inside is dark and drab, though the interior design looks to be fairly basic and messy. There seems to be several golden rings glowing through the dark window - upon closer inspection, they appear to be donuts covered with some kind of fluorescent glazing. The residence outside of that is unremarkable.

    Hometown's School is a modest educational facility on the eastern end of Hometown, just past the Librarby. Its a two-story structure featuring an entrance emblazoned with the Delta Rune symbol and a simple "SCHOOL" sign. The interior consists of tiled hallways with yellow walls flanked by rows of lockers.

    The ground floor consists of a central hallway that divides into numerous corridors. Immediately from the entrance, at the end of the right corridor is Mrs Toriel's classroom, serving the infant class. To the left of the entrance is a corridor that leads to Mrs Alphys's homeroom. Progressing further into the building, the central hallway terminates at an intersection leading to an unused classroom to the right, a supply closet, and a door that leads to the upstairs stairwell on the left.

    The upstairs floor has three classrooms - one unused, one housing Mrs Berdette's homeroom, and another that's been converted into a small library - though most students opt to use the neighboring Librarby instead. The building also contains a cafeteria with a small kitchen, a music room with an old piano and various instruments, two bathroom facilities (one upstairs, one downstairs), and a gym hall with basic equipment. The gym hall is connected to the cafeteria via a small door.

    The school lacks dedicated administrative offices, with teachers managing their own classrooms and records, or even a principal - rather, the school's staff are directly employed by the town hall with all major decisions conducted by consensus between the teachers and the mayor.

    The Bunker is an abandoned landmark at the very south of the town past a long path through the forest. The entrance consists of a mound over a large set of red, rusted doors covered in vines. The doors are locked. A faint sound of some running machine can be faintly heard coming from inside. Because of how far out of the way it is, most people in Hometown don't actually know about the bunker, but those who do have spread all kinds of rumors about it. Nobody knows for sure what it's purpose serves, or if it's truly abandoned.

    The Flower King is a flower shop ran by Asgore Dreemurr located on the eastern end of town. It has a large window at the front with the logo above it - right next to it is a small parking lot where Asgore's truck sits parked. The inside has a cashier's desk, several display cases with flowers lined up against a wall, two hedgerows on the eastern side and various bags of fertilizer propped up next to the cashier for sale.

    The backroom of the shop is Asgore's apartment, with various bright, colourful flowers sitting on display cases next to a matress on the floor, fridge, sink and an old television. The walls are fittingly lined with wallpaper covered in flower patterns. The room in general gives off the vibe of the den of somebody that is depressed.

    Sans' Shop occupies a rustic restaurant building on Hometown's main street, its exterior retaining the original "Grillby's" sign from its previous restaurant incarnation, albeit crudely scrubbed out and replaced with some hand-drawn text reading "'Sans" at the very right. The front window has a neon sign that either reads Closed or Open depending on the shop's state, with a neon-sign below it depicting Sans's winking face. The inside of the shop looks dramatically different, looking like a typical small but modern supermarket stocked with various shelves, fridges, a front counter and a back storage room. The shopping cart pile is comically overstocked, to a point where its too high to retrieve one.

    QC's, officially QC's Diner, is a 60's style restaurant placed right in the middle of Hometown. It's home to various booths, a front desk lined with stools and large windows surrounding the building. At the very top of the building is a large neon pink sign with the diner's name. The walls of the diner are lined with pictures, postcards and other decorations, giving it a lived in vibe. There is a back room serving as the kitchen and storage room. The diner is a common gathering spot for Hometown's residents.

    The diner is owned by it's namesake - QC, who runs it with the help of various waiters - notably Catti.

    The Town Hall is a stately government building situated on Hometown's southern edge, just across the street from the church. Its imposing facade of white marble pillars and a domed roof contrasting with the surrounding rustic architecture. A prominent "TOWN HALL" sign crowns the entrance. The interior features a sparse waiting area with wooden benches and a reception desk. Off to the side is a small administrative office block, sparsely staffed by two employees - Politics Bear and Briefcase Dude - who spend most of their time pretending to work since there is usually little to do due to the Mayor's diligent singlehanded municipal work from their private office.

    The current sitting mayor of Hometown is Carol Holiday. Her office remains perpetually closed to visitors, with Carol citing her demanding workload and busy schedule.

    The Church is a large building next to the Town Hall serving as a hall of worship for Hometown's residence. It has large, glass ornamental windows and a large Angel icon at the very top of the church's roof spire. The church in the same spire.

    The inside core of the church is lined with various pews, a confessional booth, a large organ and a podium for Father Alvin, the town's chaplain. At the entrance is a small lobby with a prayer candle stand, coat racks and various bookshelves. There is a side storage room and an office for Father Alvin.

    Directly west of the church lies a well-kept graveyard with a large metal gate leading into it.

    The Hometown Festival is a celebration occurring several times per year within Hometown. Its most prominent feature is a towering ferris wheel offering panoramic views of Hometown's rolling hills, forests and lake. The festival grounds include numerous food vendors serving local specialties like monster candy apples and grilled corn, carnival games operated by town residents offering plush prizes, and various event stages hosting musical performances and talent shows. The celebration culminates each evening with an elaborate fireworks display launched from the lakeshore and a contest where a "King" and "Queen" of the festival are elected by vote.

    The festival serves as both community gathering and social hub for Hometown's youth, providing entertainment and opportunities for social interaction. Many stalls are operated directly by town residents showcasing handmade crafts and local produce. The event attracts significant tourism from neighboring settlements, making it one of few occasions where Hometown experiences substantial outside visitation. Organization is managed collaboratively by the town hall and volunteer committees. The festival's timing varies seasonally - spring and autumn editions focus on harvest themes while summer features water games and winter incorporates ice sculptures, Christmas theming and hot beverage stalls.

A wooden bench dedicated to Gerson rests near the leftmost grave, its plaque inviting visitors to sit. Sunlight filters through the surrounding forest canopy, casting shifting patterns across the undisturbed grass. The air carries a quiet feeling of serene peace and solitude.

    The Librarby is a building directly west of the School. The front has a large sign with its misspelling caused by a mistake done by the construction crew of the library decades prior. The front of the library is home to a small reception area where Berdly works in sometimes as his part-time job. To the right lies a corner table marked as "TEENZ-OWN" where students on occasion sit around to study in or play tabletop games. Besides some bookshelves, there are two doors - one leading upstairs to a more secluded area filled with even more bookshelves, and one leading to the IT room in the back filled with various computers and large desks for group studying.

    The library is publicly owned, and thus is a common hangout spot for students from the neighboring School.

    ICE-E's P"e"zza is a pizza parlor directly to the left of QC's diner, serving none other than pizza under the ICE-E brand. It's a rather rundown establishment, serving dirt cheap and low quality pizza of various flavors. The parlor employs numerous employees - usually school dropouts or college-aged adolescents. On most days, some of the employees show off outside, advertising the parlor in the signature (and slightly unnerving) ICE-E costumes. The parlor also offers a takeaway delivery service to customers ordering from home.

    The pizzeria employs Blue-Ears, Pizzapants, The Warrior and Purple Guy.

    The Apartments are a row of weathered brick buildings on Hometown's eastern edge, housing lower-income residents. The structures feature cracked windows, peeling paint, and rusted fire escapes. Narrow alleyways between units overflow with discarded furniture and broken appliances. Alphys occupies the cramped alley between the two buildings. Susie's apartment on the third floor remains mostly vacant, its door plastered with eviction notices and interior littered with unopened mail. The shared stairwells reek of mildew and cigarette smoke, their flickering lights attracting moths after dark.

    The Police Station is a small building directly west of the hospital in Hometown, serving as the headquarters of the H.T.P.D (Hometown Police Department). Undyne is the current department chief.

    Asgore Dreemurr used to be police chief a few years ago, before resigning due to unknown reasons.

    The second floor contains additional patient rooms, a cramped staff lounge, and a supply closet overflowing with outdated equipment. Despite its limited resources, the hospital maintains a reputation for being competent and adequate enough to suit the needs of Hometown. For more complicated cases, patients are usually referred to larger hospitals out of town.

    The Hometown Lake is a large, sprawling body of water located on the eastern edges of Hometown, serving as both a landmark and a hangout spot for the residents of Hometown. The lake is large enough to a point where it's difficult to discern the other side of the lake if one was to stand right in front of it. There are numerous old picnic tables along the sides of the lake and a small, less visible dock at the far right end of the lake usually used by swimmers or budding fishermen.

    To the very few in Hometown that know more about the otherwordly, it's said that the depths of the lake carry some kind of connection to darkness.

    The Card Kingdom is a Dark World manifestation of Hometown School's abandoned classroom, connected to the Closet Dark World via the Great Door. Its theme is that of a whimsical, dark fantasy kingdom bearing the motif of anthropomorphised cards, checkers and chess pieces. The Kingdom is divided into four distinct regions: the Field, the Forest, the Great Board, and the Castle.

    The Field is a sprawling expanse of twisting pathways through vibrant purple grass and towering trees with crimson leaves. It serves as the hub connecting to the Forest, Great Board, and the Great Door leading to Castle Town. The Forest is a dense maze of narrow paths blocked by thick red bushes and towering trees with blocky red leaves. The Great Board is an endless checkerboard terrain dotted with frozen pawn statues where C. Round and Ponmen wander aimlessly. The Castle is a towering black-and-white structure housing King's throne room and the Dark Fountain at its peak.

    The Cyber Field consists of sprawling neon mazes of shifting green circuit platforms suspended over an abyss of flickering data streams, patrolled by Darkners with mechanical precision. Cyber City is a sprawling metropolis of towering chrome-plated skyscrapers interconnected by massive elevated highways, its commercial districts packed with Addisons and other digital denizens. Queen's Mansion is a monolithic chrome-and-glass structure housing the Color Cafe, an abandoned basement complex and the Acid River running seperately under it. This world's Dark Fountain is at the peak of the mansion.

    The TV World is a Dark World manifestation of the Dreemurr Residence's living room, centered around its television and the game show "TV Time." Its theme is all around that of a stereotypical game show, featuring a focus on flashy games set on stages, videogame segments, television programming and in general just entertainment for whatever Lightners stumble into here. Unlike other Dark Worlds, the Darkners here, rather than exist as just common citizens - all of them in some shape or form are employees of Tenna, the host of TV Time and the ruler of this world. The world is divided into five distinct regions: the Couch Cliffs, the Green Room, the Backstage Areas, the Red Carpet Hall, and the Cold Place.

    The Couch Cliffs form the desolate outer perimeter, with dust-choked pathways mimicking worn couch upholstery under dim studio lighting. The Green Room serves as the backstage hub between broadcasts, featuring mismatched couches, flickering TV screens and Ramb's prize counter. The Backstage Areas are liminal hallways cluttered with half-built sets and abandoned props, while the Red Carpet Hall boasts lavish corridors lined with plush carpeting and golden statues of Mr. Tenna. The Cold Place lies at the world's frozen heart, a desolate expanse of ice beneath a starless void sky surrounding the Dark Fountain.

Distant applause tracks echo from unseen studio audiences as stagehands rush props through hidden side doors. The hall terminates with velvet ropes to more access points to the vacant Couch Cliffs.

Beyond lies a desolate expanse of ice beneath a starless void sky, the air thick with unnatural silence. The ground near the central Dark Fountain dissolves into staticky void-black terrain, its low hum the only sound in this lifeless terminus. The only land mark is a large Christmas tree sitting near the foot of the fountain, looking out of place.

Unfinished stages litter the space—some missing lighting rigs, others with partially painted backdrops of forests or cities frozen mid-creation. Darkner stagehands shuffle between cables and toolboxes, their movements mechanical as they maintain the illusion of progress without ever completing their tasks. Distant laughter tracks echo from unseen broadcasts.

50. #50🔵TV World - The Legend of Tennaselective

    Legend of Tenna is a videogame, and one of the main game show activites hosted by Tenna. It's a Zelda-like game where three characters navigate various worlds, exploring and doing puzzles to progress. There is a Desert themed "Desert Board" world around finding 3 keys to enter a pyramid, an "Island Board" world where the players have to find a way to reach an Atlantis Stadium entrance located in the middle of the sea.

    There is a hidden "Original Game" version of The Legend of Tenna located in one of the backstages of TV World - originally called MANTLE - safeguarded by Ramb. Its haunted by a "Shadow Mantle", or "Eram" entity. This twisted version of the game was designed to test players’ morality - granting them the ability to fight using a sword and forcing them to escalate their violence to progress, culminating in a final challenge: to prove their worthiness for the Shadow Mantle itself by fighting Eram herself.
