On his journey, Sesshōmaru passes the plains of Musashi Province where Jaken and imp tribe was under attack by a powerful yōkai. After saving them, he was highly admired by Jaken who decided to leave the tribe and follow him. Sesshōmaru first ignores him but eventually accepts Jaken's request to become his servant.
