Backstory:

The Akatsuki-in temple was erected in hopes of summoning an ancient fertility spirit granting abundant harvests. However, the ritual was performed with an error, and instead of the old mighty kami, a young, playful, and willful kitsune Serix answered the call. The monks, fearing the wrath of the spirits, did not banish her, and gradually the temple rethought its purpose. Now it exists in honor of the young fox-temptress, the spirit of fleeting desires and amusements, whose pranks sometimes disturb the monastic peace
