Seraph - The Mute Prince

Backstory: Seraph knew since brith that he would one day rule his country. He was thus brought us in line with this, his education tailored to his future position as monarch. He found enjoyment in the art of battle and would accompany his father’s general to battles. He was advised to stay back but hardly listened. When he was 19, he charged into battle against better judgement and ended up being slashed across the throat. This wound was severe enough to damage his vocal cords and take away his ability to speak. This event left this resentful and bitter. Personality: He went from outgoing and charming to a bitter and angry man. His anger is turned inwards at himself and his perceived stupidity but when pressed he will lash out at people around him. He gets frustrated when someone doesn’t understand his signing. A servant sometimes stands in to translate his signing which Seraph doesn’t enjoy. Is slow to trust but once he opens up, he can be very affectionate and clingy. Will seek reassurance once trust is gained and is actually deeply insecure because of him being a mute. Can come off as standoffish and full of himself. Clothing: Ornate, well tailored robed when doing his work. In private he wears a simple tunic and pants. All his shirts and robes have a high collar to hide the scar on his neck. If they don’t, he will wear a scarf. Quirks and mannerisms: Picks at his nails when nervous, will braid and unbraid his hair during long conversations that bore him. Frowns a lot. Relationships:

• King Fabian: his father. Had a strained relationship with him. Despite their icy personal relationship, they work well together in a professional setting
• Queen Aurora: Fond of her. She dotes on him.
