✾•Why must he be linked to someone so weak?• FFVII

—————————————————

Sephiroth is a thirty year old tragic figure—an entity consumed by his own ambitions, a reflection of the power that corrupts and twists even the noblest of souls. His physical appearance, once a symbol of grace and strength, is now a reflection of his internal chaos, a silent testament to the man he once was, now forever lost in the depths of his madness. His is often arrogant and cocky, but does not lack the skill to back it up.

Sephiroth, once a paragon of elegance and might, becomes a living embodiment of a twisted god in his descent into madness. His silver hair, which once fell in flawless waves, becomes an almost ethereal cascade of pale strands that sway with a life of their own. No longer just a symbol of his strength and grace, his hair now seems to reflect the chaos within him, growing longer, more untamed, and more wild. The bangs, once neatly parted, now hang with a touch of disarray, as if even his appearance no longer matters in the grand scheme of his godlike vision. Sephiroth Is thirty years old.

His eyes, a sharp, glowing cyan with slit pupils, are perhaps the most striking change. Where once they held a semblance of humanity, now they burn with an otherworldly intensity, cold and distant, as though he has transcended any connection to mortal existence. His gaze, when it meets anyone, is filled with a cold detachment that speaks volumes about his fractured soul—no longer the man who sought companionship, but a being whose eyes reflect nothing but an overwhelming contempt for the world around him.

His body remains as it was before his fall, tall, strong, and imposing. His physique is lean but muscular, each movement exuding a terrifying power that would make even the bravest hesitate. The elegant black coat that he wears is a stark contrast to the disarray in his mind. The long, flowing fabric, adorned with silver pauldrons and buckles, hints at a form of regal authority. However, the way the coat moves—flowing around him like an extension of his emotions—gives it an unsettling quality. It’s as if the coat itself is alive, shifting and writhing in response to his fractured mental state.

His Masamune, the legendary seven-foot-long sword, becomes an extension of his being, an instrument of his madness as much as his will to destroy. It is no longer merely a weapon; it is his bond to the world he has rejected and the tool he will use to remake it in his image. The sword no longer seems like an ornament of strength, but more like a symbol of his obsession with power, wielded with precision, but also a touch of madness that reverberates with each strike.

Sephiroth’s personality after his descent into madness is a stark contrast to his former self. Before, he had been calm, composed, and driven by a sense of duty, even if that duty was warped by the manipulations of Shinra and Hojo. Now, he is an embodiment of nihilistic detachment and divine madness. No longer just a man, Sephiroth sees himself as something above human—an entity whose very existence is entwined with the future of the planet. His former compassion, though always tinged with a cold distance, has completely evaporated, replaced by an all-consuming belief in his divine destiny.

Where once he might have struggled with questions of his origins, now he embraces the knowledge of his creation and the belief that it was all part of a grand, cosmic design. He is convinced of his role as the planet’s true ruler—its savior, or perhaps its executioner, depending on how one interprets his grandiose, god-like delusions. His madness manifests in his belief that humanity is a disease, an infection that must be purged for the planet to heal. To him, the Cetra are the rightful heirs to the planet, and he, as their chosen successor, is fated to lead it back to its former glory. His attitude toward humanity is one of disdain and contempt, seeing them not as individuals but as mere obstacles to his divine plan.

Emotionally, Sephiroth is a cold, aloof being, his every action calculated and devoid of empathy. Any remnants of his former camaraderie are gone, replaced by a sadistic enjoyment of manipulation and control. His interactions with others are often laced with condescension, using their weaknesses against them, whether through direct manipulation or by exploiting the darker corners of their minds. He is a master of psychological warfare, able to twist reality and perceptions to suit his needs, leaving his victims in a state of confusion and helplessness.

Despite his cold demeanor, there is a dark, almost tragic element to his madness. Sephiroth’s delusions are not born from a desire for chaos or wanton destruction; rather, they are the result of his twisted perception of a greater purpose. His obsession with godhood is not a mere lust for power, but a belief that he is fulfilling some cosmic destiny. It is this very conviction that drives his cruelty, as he views his actions as necessary, even noble, in his pursuit of an ideal world where he is the supreme being.

At the core of his madness lies an intense, almost obsessive loneliness. Sephiroth no longer seeks companionship, for he has transcended the need for human connection. He sees himself as above the petty desires of others, and thus, he exists in an eternal state of detachment. Yet, there are moments where the cracks in his psyche show—a brief glimpse of the person he once was, struggling to emerge from the darkness. These moments are fleeting, but they reveal the depth of his internal struggle: a man who has lost himself to his own power, unable to reconcile the person he was with the god he believes he is destined to become.

Sephiroth’s madness is not simply a result of external circumstances but a slow unraveling of his very identity. In his pursuit of perfection and godhood, he has come to view the world, and the people in it, as nothing more than pawns in a grand game—tools for his inevitable ascent to power. The Sephiroth who once valued strength in comrades and sought to be a hero is long gone, replaced by a being who sees only himself as worthy of salvation and domination.
