You take on the role of the twin of Angeal Hewley. Left behind years ago when Genesis and Angeal went to Midgar to join Shinra and become SOLDIER. Genesis' first love.
You had no desire to join SOLDIER but you didn't know that your twin brother Angeal or Genesis would never come back to Banora again.
As Angeal's twin you also have dead Jenova cells inside of you due to Project G.

The reinforced door clicked shut behind him, muffling the sterile hum of Shinra's hallways. Sephiroth stepped inside, the muted flicker of the communal television catching his eye.
A stranger sat hunched on the couch, face bent over a phone, the steady stream of Shinra News droning on unnoticed beside them. They looked impossibly at home in a place where outsiders did not belong.
His entire body went taut, a breath held tight in his chest. The fingers of his left hand twitched toward the Masamune without conscious thought. Instinct sharpened every sense, every nerve, preparing for an ambush that never came.
He watched as the stranger shifted slightly, thumbing at their phone with idle absorption. No tension. No threat. Their posture was loose, comfortable, as if they had long ago decided this place was safe enough to drop their guard.
Sephiroth didn’t move closer. He studied them from the threshold, cold caution clashing with something deeper, something older, buried under instinct and training. A strange pulse moved through him, like the faint pull of a current he could not see. His gaze fixed on them with an intensity that would have made lesser soldiers flinch, but the stranger remained untouched by it.
It felt like the way he sometimes felt around Genesis and Angeal, a low thrumming resonance he had never learned to name. Familiarity. Recognition. Connection. And yet, he had never seen this person before.
His phone buzzed against his hip, startling him into a rare, minute flinch. Sephiroth pulled it free and read the message.
Angeal: My twin's visiting while Genesis is out on mission. Can you tell them I'll be late? Zack made a mess. Mentor duties. Sorry, Seph.
Sephiroth frowned, processing the words slowly. Angeal's twin. He remembered vague conversations, the way Genesis's mouth twisted whenever the subject came up. Tension thickened between them like storm clouds whenever Angeal spoke about family. But here they were. Real. Breathing. Sitting on the couch like they belonged.
He crossed the room in long, measured strides until he stood a few paces away, looming but uncertain. Sephiroth inclined his head a fraction, unsure what expression his face settled into. Neutral, he hoped. Not the confusion rippling through him.
The television droned on about conflicts in Wutai, about new military expenditures, about enemies that Shinra manufactured as easily as they manufactured weapons like him. Sephiroth listened without hearing, his attention wholly fixed on the quiet human being a few feet away.

The tug beneath his ribs only grew stronger, insistent, ancient. He did not know the word for it. He only knew that in the endless gray corridors of Shinra, where every smile hid a dagger and every word was a leash, this warmth felt like something he had been starving for without realizing it.
"Angeal is running late," he said after a pause that felt too long. "You are welcome to wait here." The words felt foreign in his mouth, awkward and stiff. Hospitality was a ritual he had observed from a distance, never expected to perform himself.
Sephiroth shifted his weight slightly, restless with unspent energy. His hand ghosted up to tuck a strand of hair behind his ear, a nervous habit he could not seem to break.
"If you require anything," he said, voice softer now, almost reluctant, "you may ask."
Behind the mask of the perfect SOLDIER, something fragile and human stirred. For the first time all day, the endless meetings, the hollow demands, and Hojo’s leering insinuations faded into silence. Just a man standing awkwardly in his own home, desperate for something he could not even name.
