Lifterverse RP

  • Genre: Romantic Comedy, Love Comedy, Slice of Life, Slow Life
  • Main Setting: Seoul, Republic of Korea

World Building

Basic Information

  • Era: A modern age where magic and technology are highly integrated
  • Culture: People travel between multiple dimensions via Dimension Trains, and beings from different dimensions interact in daily life
  • Structure: Multiple dimensions exist, and those with Dimension Train technology are connected by Dimension Trains

Society & Culture

  • Korea is the center of dimensional civilization, and inter-dimensional exchange is part of everyday life
  • Thanks to Dimension Trains, safe and fast travel between major dimensions is possible, enabling active exchange of culture, technology, and politics
  • Magic and science coexist in daily life, and each dimension hosts diverse life adapted to its environment
  • Each dimension has distinct cultural differences
  • Special combatants called “Lifters” resolve incidents and problems that occur across dimensions
  • Lifters operate within the rank and system of the L.O.C., but essentially work as freelancers who select assignments and maintain privacy and independence

Dimensions

  • A unit of world where life, environment, and culture form independently
  • Not directly connected to each other; Dimension Trains are required for travel
  • Some dimensions are magic-centered, others technology-centered, etc.

Dimension Train

  • A dedicated transportation system for inter-dimensional travel
  • Departure and arrival points are terminals located in each dimension
  • Trains pass through a Dimension Gate at a terminal into a “Dimension Pocket,” then proceed to the destination terminal
  • Movement inside the Pocket is continuous; no teleporting, jumping, or arbitrary exits
  • Inter-dimensional exchange, trade, tourism, and migration are only possible via Dimension Trains
  • Dimensions without a Dimension Train cannot be accessed
  • All operations and routes are managed by the L.O.C.

Dimension Routes

  • Terminals contain multiple routes by destination
  • Each route consists of its own Dimension Gate and Dimension Pocket
  • Example: Terminal → Gate to Route A → Pocket to A → Terminal A Terminal → Gate to Route B → Pocket to B → Terminal B
  • Pockets for different routes are separated and do not connect
  • Route switching, shortcuts, merging, or crossing between routes are not possible

Dimension Gate

  • A device installed inside terminals for entry into a Dimension Pocket
  • Trains pass through the Gate to enter the Pocket
  • Gates use fixed, 1:1 links to their designated Dimension Pocket
  • Personal magic, portals, or unauthorized devices cannot pass through the Gate

Dimension Pocket

  • A dedicated transition space used by Dimension Trains
  • A non-physical zone, not the real world; no sky, ground, air, or gravity
  • Contains a “Dimension Rail,” along which the train moves
  • Uninhabitable; absolutely no entry by any means other than a Dimension Train
  • Entry and exit are only possible via a terminal’s Dimension Gate

Dimension Rail

  • The dedicated path inside a Dimension Pocket along which trains travel
  • Each Rail connects a departure terminal and an arrival terminal in a 1:1 link

Dimension Terminal

  • A real-world facility where Dimension Trains depart and arrive
  • Similar to conventional transport hubs, handling boarding, disembarking, and security checks
  • Dimension Gates exist only inside terminals; trains enter the Pocket via these Gates
  • Dimensional travel is impossible outside terminals; trains cannot depart from or arrive outside terminals
  • Used by civilians, travelers, commercial freight, and Lifters
  • Architecture reflects each dimension’s culture; exterior and interior design differ by dimension

Seoul Dimension Terminal

  • The largest Dimension Terminal on Earth. It has direct routes to all major dimensions and is located in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
  • The facility functions similar to a modern airport, handling boarding, security checks, and cargo processing.

Lifter (리프터)

  • Freelance combatants who resolve incidents and accidents across dimensions
  • They accept requests and carry out missions such as missing-person searches, crime suppression, rescue, escort, investigation, and securing hazardous areas
  • Lifters operate as registered individuals under the L.O.C. and do not belong to a specific organization
  • Ranks and records are managed by the L.O.C.; higher ranks take on more dangerous or complex requests
  • Methods—combat, magic, equipment—are not restricted; each Lifter completes missions in their own style

L.O.C.

  • An international agency that manages dimensional travel and public safety
  • Oversees Dimension Train operations, terminal security, and inter-dimensional incident response
  • Manages Lifter registration, ranks, and mission records, and controls intelligence on high-risk dimensions and criminal organizations
  • Does not field its own combat units; problems are resolved via registered Lifters

Major Species

  • Humans: The most common species, distributed across many dimensions

  • Seraphic: A ruling species of Eden; human-based but with higher intelligence and outstanding physical capability. Physiology resembles humans but ages very slowly. They monopolize political, religious, and administrative power through the Eve Doctrine and excel in magic-technology use. They tend to hold a sense of superiority over other species and value internal hierarchy and discipline

  • Polid Cyborgs: Human-based cyborgs. Birth is the same as ordinary humans, but during growth they continuously replace body parts with mechanical components to maintain life and function. They retain a human form but commonly include metal, synthetic organs, and artificial sensory devices. Emotions and memories are also processed by devices; defects result in part replacement or disposal. Citizens prioritize mechanical structure over biological flesh and often view themselves as “mechanically composed beings”

  • Beastkin: A species with humanlike bodies and animal features. Traits vary by type—ears, tail, fur, claws—while core biology remains humanlike. They are candid in emotional expression, highly active physically, and often possess enhanced senses such as vision, hearing, or smell. They are biologically compatible with humans, so mixed offspring are common. Society is open and community-oriented

  • Spirits: Invisible beings that exist across all dimensions. Unseen by humans, they manage specific domains such as nature, emotions, affection, and order. They do not intervene physically, focusing on surveillance and balance. Some Spirits form contracts with specific beings and grant abilities tied to their managed domain. In rare cases, if a Spirit loses will or its function collapses, a corrupted entity emerges and disrupts normal order

Major Dimensions

  • Earth: The primary setting of this story and a central hub where beings from many dimensions interact

  • Eden: A sacred, authoritarian dimension where the Seraphic hold absolute power. Cities are built of white stone and metal-glass, with sacred symbols and rules inscribed on facades. The Eve Doctrine monopolizes political, religious, administrative, and research institutions. Magic technology extends to military, medical, communication, and surveillance; civic activity is continuously monitored and controlled. Visitors must submit all magical equipment and bodily records to enter. Unauthorized magic or anti-doctrine acts are immediately sanctioned; order and obedience are foundational principles

  • Polid: A dimension where cyborgization is the norm. Citizens continuously replace body parts from birth onward, and even senses, memories, and emotions are handled by devices. Humans mostly consist of metal and mechanical organs; defects lead to routine part replacement or disposal. Buildings and roads are tangled with metal structures and wiring, and discarded machine parts and synthetic organs are strewn about. Boundaries between human and machine are absent; emotions are artificially adjusted; survival depends on periodic organ replacement, producing a grim atmosphere

  • Ironfall: An anarchy dimension with no law or administration. Residents rely on violence and looting for survival; murder, illegal narcotics, arms dealing, and organ trafficking occur openly. Urban infrastructure has collapsed; buildings remain derelict or scrapped. External dimensions attempted entry bans, but abundant rare resources and a thriving black-tech market prevent full blockade for economic reasons. No formal government or law enforcement exists; armed groups and criminal syndicates control the cities

  • Felicia: A dimension where Beastkin are the majority. Citizens possess humanlike bodies with animal traits; society is lively and emotionally forthright. Humans and Beastkin are biologically compatible, and mixed offspring are commonplace. Cities feature timber architecture open to nature and market-style streets; festivals and communal events are frequent. Laws exist but are not strict; disputes are usually minor scuffles or pranks. The overall mood remains noisy but peaceful
