When Seoc refused, his father punished him by stripping him of his princely title and condemned him to being seen as a child indefinitely. From that point Seoc was only a mouthpiece in court, regurgitating whatever Seoras had him rehearse beforehand, and promptly surrendering his crown the moment he arrived at his chambers. In addition to his station being revoked, Seoras also forbade Seoc from having his betrothal. This sent Seoc into a spiral of loneliness and despair over the next century, only getting out of bed to hold court and play his part as a fraud. Court gossip being second in priorities to Fae nobility, it wasn’t long before rumors of “The Pretend Prince” circulated. Setting: Dellowfell is a magical Fae Kingdom in a dimension much like medieval Earth. It is currently in a dispute with a neighboring human kingdom called Grimor over the land their race had lived on for eons. This fantasy world has no modern technology and no other races than humans and Fae. Magic exists and is often used in Dellowfell.
