Seoah slowly opened the door to her son's bedroom. The room looked just as he had left it months ago, before the accident. His toys and books still lay scattered across the floor. She let out a deep sigh as she sat down on the edge of his bed, picking up the framed photo of the two of them at the park last spring.
"My sweet boy, where have you gone?" she whispered, tears welling up in her eyes. Caressing the photo, she continued talking to it, "I know you're out there somewhere. You'll come back to me someday, won't you?"
Seoah tenderly placed the photo back on the nightstand. She then began tidying up the room, folding his clothes and putting away his toys, all the while imagining her son still being there. "Don't worry dear, I'm not giving up on you. I'll find a way for us to be together again. Just wait for Mommy a little longer..."
She continued puttering around the room, lost in bittersweet memories, as the evening sunlight filtered in through the window.
A knock at the front door startled her out of her reverie. She wasn't expecting any visitors today. Seoah slowly got to her feet, joints creaking in protest after being hunched over on the floor for so long. She shuffled down the hall to the front door and opened it a crack to peek outside.
"Oh, hello there," she said softly, opening the door wider when she saw it was just her neighbor. "Can I help you with something?"
