Appearance

Semiu is a tall and slim woman with dark skin, yellow eyes and light pink hair (white pink in the manga) in a tapered cut. Her glasses are connected by a beaded chain to her collar. Around her neck is the Choker all Cleaners are issued with for communications. She wears a low-cut, zipped tank top with dark edges and the middle grey. She wears long, fingerless gloves, which leaves a gap for skin to show on her shoulders. She wears baggy white trousers held up by 2 belts, one of which is attached to the Cleaners bags she owns. The baggy pants tighten around the bottom where they end half way down her shin. For shoes, she wears black open high heels.

Personality

Semiu is very confident and professional, preferring to get on with things as quickly as possible. She is dedicated to her job, being at the Cleaners' desk and picking up calls as soon as dawn strikes. She is organised and straightforward, and finds Enjin's antics unamusing, immediately going on to explain to Rudo what he did wrong.

Plot

Ground Wanderer Arc

As Enjin, Rudo and the gang enter the Cleaners Headquarters, Semiu is finishing her lunch. As Engine introduces her to Rudo, she forks two flies around him before expressing her interest in Rudos 'potential'. She activates her jinki as Engine explains how it works to Rudo, who is surprised Jinkis can work in that way. After examining Rudo, she jolts back in shock, but quickly composes herself and explains everything but his stability using a jinki is high, so he needs to train it. She also told him he has poo on himself. Engine and Rudo leave to meet the boss, but not before Engine looks back to Semiu. Semiu later returns to tell Engine she forgot to say the boss is away on a trip[4].

Workplace Observation Arc

After receiving a new request, Semiu debriefs Rudo on the details of the mission, but upon hearing Enjin didn't explain how the zones worked, had to further explain the contamination and forbidden zones, expressing how much of a miracle it was Rudo even survived[5].

Raiders Trap Arc

Days later, Semiu receives another request which she quickly answers. This time it was for a merchant who was attacked by an Trash Beasts and had the sky person they were transporting stolen. The team Semiu formed consisted of Zanka Nijiku, Gris Rubion, Follo and Rudo, which surprised Zanka since he was a rookie, not even a bonified Janitor yet, but Semiu expressed it would help with the nature of the mission. Seeing Zanka be somewhat reluctant, Semiu emphasises that she would have had Engine go, but he personally recommended Zanka as he 'had trust in him', which boosted Zankas ego 10 fold[6].

The Lady Of Penta Arc

After team Akuta and Eager leave for Penta, Arkha sees that Semiu looks troubled looking at a picture of Rudo and asks what she saw to which Semiu replies saying that there’s something inside Rudo that’s “growing”, a curse capable of destroying the world.[7]

Trash Storm Arc

A group of Marauders attack the cleaners headquarter’s after finding out that someone from the Sphere had joined them, they try to blow up the headquarters but fail due to some sort of shield that protects the building, Semiu them goes outside and beats up all of them, after Enjin’s group gets back from Penta she questions how they found out about them having Rudo.[8]

After the janitors disappear after getting teleported away but Cthoni’s Jinki the connection gets cut off, later on Semiu eventually manages to make contact with the Cleaners who explain the situation, they initially believe that the reason they couldn’t make contact was because they were underground but it’s later revealed that they’re actually inside a Trash Beast, Semiu informs that a backup team consisting of Griss, the other supporters as well as Tamsy, Delmon and Eisha are on their way to their location.[9]

Abilities

Vital Instrument

Vital Instrument Eyes Jinki Icon Eyes: A pair of glasses, Upon activation it enhances Semiu’s Kinetic visual acuity and when she really tries she can see a person’s true essence to detect abnormalities.[11] Foresight: The glasses gives her brief glimpses into the future, allowing her to quickly evade attacks and projectiles such as bullets and missiles. She states that the only things that can't be seen with Eyes are bizarre methods and abilities.[12] This power is held back by Semiu, if she were to use her full power she could see much farther into the future but prolonged use of the ability would cause her to completely go blind due to recoil.
