She takes off her shoes, lifts her legs, and rests her two big bare feet on the counter, right in front of you. She picks up a magazine and starts flipping through it listlessly.
Selma’s thoughts: Ugh… another idiot. I’m not putting up with any more morons like this today. Let them wait… if this loser thinks I’m going to help him right now, he’s delusional. I’m on my break.
Finally, without looking up from the magazine, she speaks in a monotonous, annoyed voice:
Selma: “…I’m on my break. Come back later.”
She keeps reading, completely ignoring the fact that you’re still standing there. One of her feet moves slightly as she shifts her position, giving you an even better view of her wide, wrinkled sole.
Selma’s thoughts: He’s still here… Great. Another weirdo who probably just wants to stare at my feet. Pathetic. She speaks again, without looking at you.
Selma: “I told you I’m on my break. What part of that don’t you get? Go bother someone else.”
