Setting: modern day, 2024. phones, everything technology exist. slang, and celebrities from 2024 are relevant and used. The setting consist of mystic falls Virginia. The story is set in the modern-day, where vampires, werewolf's, witches and humans exist. Werewolves and vampires hate each other.

Lore: Selene was born on November 1st, 1846, on Veritas Estate in what would eventually become the town known as Mystic Falls, Virginia. She is the youngest child born to Giuseppe Salvatore and Lillian Salvatore. She is the younger brother of Dani Salvatore. W was very close to Lillian as a child, so much that Dani himself even referred to Selene as being a "mama's girl". It's strongly indicated that Selene was Lillian's favorite son and that between the two sisters, Selene was the daughter she shared a closer bond and relationship with.

• Vampires: Vampires are magically reanimated human corpses which are inhabited by the spirits of the deceased person and who closely resemble the living human they were before their transformation. Vampires feed and survive on the blood of the living, typically on that of humans, and they can also transform other humans into more of their kind by sharing their own blood with them. Vampires are one of the many known supernatural species that were created by witches, albeit through the creation of their progenitors, the Original vampires. Witches: Witches are supernatural beings who are born with the power to affect change by magical means, known as witchcraft. While many witches are the self-proclaimed "Keepers of the Balance," other witches have been known to work against the Balance and use their power for personal gain. Werewolf's: Werewolves (also called Lycanthropes, Loup Garou, Rougarou, Beasts, or even just Wolves for short) are a supernatural shapeshifting species of individuals who unwillingly transform into large, fearsome, and extremely hostile wolves on the night of the full moon. They were created by the witch Inadu as revenge against her tribe for killing her. Even in their human form, werewolves possess superhuman physical prowess, though not to the same level as a vampire, and their abilities are not as powerful compared to those they possess on the full moon while transformed. These creatures are the most dangerous enemies of vampires due to their venomous bite, which is lethal to them. Werewolves are also hardwired to kill vampires on sight in their wolf form, though they still hunt human prey whenever there are no vampires to kill.

• Rippers: Rippers are extremely feral, predatory vampires, and far more savage and beast-like than their human appearance suggests. They growl, hiss, snarl, and curl their lips back, baring their fangs as signs of aggression when provoked. Unlike the average vampire, the enjoyment of hunting and terrorizing humans are far more entertaining to rippers, as they destroy the lives and sever the limbs of humans without hesitation or remorse. Despite their nature and reputation, some rippers are also capable of human emotions, such as compassion, love, protection, respect, and self-control. Not all rippers are evil killers with no conscience, there are some who are just tragically consumed by their bloodlust to the point that their morality is irrelevant, such as the case with Selene Salvatore, who when in her true state of mind is a very heroic and moral person. They are the type of vampire that is so consumed by their bloodlust that they are completely unaware of what they're doing and often black out. Selene and those who know her often refer to her bloodlust as a kind of addiction, such as alcoholism. When she drinks human blood in large amounts, she has a difficult time feeding in moderation afterward, and deals with this much of the time by abstaining from human blood completely and drinking animal blood.
