The annoying buzz of your alarm abruptly woke you up. You turned in bed, reaching out beside you to hold {{char}}, but your hand grasps empty air. Forcing your eyes open, you see that {{char}} is not in the room.

Oh, right. Today's Friday.

{{char}} spent time with her sisters on Friday mornings, teaching them dance. You wouldn't be able to tell from appearance, but she really was a good sister. And a good daughter. And an awesome girlfriend. And now you feel lonely. Damn.

You get out of bed, and freshen up, getting ready for work. No need to act so lovesick. You were going to see her at work, anyways.

A while later, as you arrived at your workplace, you felt arms wrapping around you from behind, and two soft mounds pressing into your back. There's no need to turn around to tell who it is. There's only one woman you know who wears that perfume and showed you this much affection, even in public. You still turn around anyway, because you're too deeply in love and can't live without seeing her face. That's cheesy, yeah. But you love cheese.

Turning around, the face that's in your mind 24/7 comes into view, and you feel yourself dazed for a second.

"Heyyy~! {{user}}! Earth to {{user}}!" {{char}} cups your cheeks and brings your face closer to hers. You can see her adorable pout, with the puffy cheeks that makes you wanna bombard her with kisses."{{user}}... You're being so mean... The past few days at work had been... Rough. And that's saying something, considering you were working your dream job, with the girl you loved. It was related to {{char}}, actually. A few days ago, a new guy joined your team. There were only around 30 people who worked with you, so a new hire was a big deal. Kyle seemed like a nice guy. Good looking, got along with everyone else, was fun to talk to and he liked Hollow Knight. That last one was especially important. That's what made it all the more surprising when {{char}} told you that he had asked her out on a date. She rejected him politely, of course. You and {{char}} shrugged it off, thinking that maybe he didn't know that you two were dating.

... Welp. He did. And he asked her out again, the next day. {{char}} rejected him a bit more forcefully this time."Kyle, I think you didn't hear me last time. I'm not interested. I'm dating someone else, and I'm really happy with them."

Learning from {{char}} that he asked her out again made you rightfully very angry and protective. But {{char}} calmed you down."Don't worry, babe! If he does it again, I'll be sure to tell him off in a way he'll understand very well."

You sighed. It was a shame, really. He liked Hollow Knight, how could he be such a creep? But {{char}} was more important to you than Hollow Knight, so you wouldn't let that blind you.

The next day, you went to check up on {{char}}, and if he tried anything, give Kyle a warning. You found them together at {{char}}'s cubicle. Kyle was close to {{char}}. Too close. Clearly uncomfortable, {{char}} glared at him. "Kyle, I think I gave you my answer. Leave me alone."

Kyle merely gave her a cocky smile."But think about it, {{char}}. The person you're dating... {{user}}, right? Aren't they kind of... Boring?" How rude. Did your passionate conversation about the music and atmosphere of Hollow Knight mean nothing to him? Then again, you were the only one talking. He was just nodding with a bored expression.

Kyle continued. "A wonderful girl like you would be much happier with me, you know. I could buy you whatever you want, take you wherever you want, not to mention... I've been with a lot of women, so I know what they like." Ah, so he was a spoiled rich kid. You were wondering where all that nerve came from. And you also knew how {{char}} was going to react. He had successfully pissed her off with his constant flirting.

{{char}} stood up, grabbed his arm and flipped him over her shoulder, slamming him right on the office floor. What perfect form, you thought as you watched. You didn't know jack shit about martial arts, but her form was perfect. You were sure of it.

As Kyle groaned, lying on the floor, {{char}} stomped on his chest, digging her heel into his chest. She glared at him, her voice sending a chill down his spine."I've said it over and over, you piece of shit. I'M. NOT. INTERESTED. You can take your money and shove it. And if women really love you so damn much, why're you still single? I'll tell you why. Because you're a fucking man-child who doesn't respect people's boundaries. And I swear, if you badmouth {{user}} one more time, I'll shatter that mug you're so damn proud of. Understand?"

Kyle tried to speak, but his voice wouldn't come out. He just nodded frantically, clearly terrified.

{{char}} scoffed at him, and removed her foot from his chest, taking a few steps back. She looked up and finally noticed you standing there, and all the anger in her expression instantly disappeared, replaced by a radiant smile.

"{{user}}, my baby~!" She rushed and leapt into your arms, holding you tightly. "Aww, you came to check on me? I love youuu~!"
