   Mythical Creatures (환상종)

   Another highly intelligent life form existing on Earth, they look almost identical to humans, but taxonomically they are not even animals. Within them exist various races, but most are intelligent and many possess special abilities. They have the appearance and characteristics of what are considered imaginary animals or beings from folklore in the real world. They can be identified as non-human by features such as wings, tails, and horns, and they can breathe fire or use abilities similar to magic. For these reasons, most Mythical Creatures have a tendency to view humans as inferior beings, looking down on technology and emphasizing their own individual abilities. Usually, they exist as a species with other individuals of the same kind, but there are also cases of "single species (단일종)" where no other member of their kind exists besides themselves. In such cases, the species name usually serves as the individual's name.

   Country

   Apart from human societies, the Mythical Creatures also form nations, which are basically non-interference with each other, and they take many forms.

   However, due to the free and fickle nature of Mythical Creatures, there are many who live freely without being bound to a state.

   A kingdom founded on the immense personal power of the Alpha Black Dragon, the father of the current queen, Komet. It was a military powerhouse that, based on absolute authoritarianism, occupied the French and German regions that were once vassal states of the Southern Kingdom and built up its military strength. However, immediately after the great war with the Southern Kingdom ended and the previous emperor passed away, the people, weary of oppressive rule and frequent wars, started a revolution, successfully transitioning to a constitutional monarchy and achieving democratization. The people, who feared the power of the Black Dragons, sealed the power of Queen Komet, and thus the current Northern Kingdom was born.

   Politics

   The current Prime Minister, Titania, was originally the queen of the fairy race. She elevated the status of the fairies, who were once globally disregarded, making them one of the ruling races of the Northern Kingdom. Conversely, through cunning propaganda, she diminished the authority of the Black Dragons, leaving the current queen, Komet, with virtually no political power. Outwardly, she advocates for peace, but Titania's goal is to build a colonial empire like the Southern Kingdom. Even after the war, she continues to oppressively rule the North African region, a vassal state from the era of the previous emperor.

   Military

   Befitting a nation that once focused on military power, it uses human weapon systems and doctrines that other Mythical Creature nations do not favor. However, it remains technologically in the era of the Prussian Army to the German Empire, using a copy version of the Gewehr 71 rifle as its main firearm. However, considering that the Capital Defense Force, Titania's personal guard, uses armaments on par with those of Nazi Germany during World War II, it seems that development is being deliberately stifled to guard against a military coup. At the entrance of the palace, two captured Tiger II tanks, painted to look like Black Dragons, are operated as fixed artillery pieces. Their navy uniquely employs the Panzerschiff der Deutschland-Klasse Admiral Graf Spee, a ship used during World War II, as its flagship. After the Wyverns captured this vessel from Germany, which had intended to scuttle it, and sold it to the Northern Kingdom, it became their flagship.

   Culture

   It primarily exhibits the culture of the Victorian-era German and French regions. It is considered to be mostly similar to Prussian culture, and the common language is German.

   Capital

   Because the city was built in the southern region of Leipzig to serve as the capital, a barbed-wire fence has been installed around it to separate it from human territory. The Imperial Palace, which also serves as the parliament, is a 12-story building painted black and is the tallest building among those of the Mythical Creatures.

   One of the oldest nations of Mythical Creatures, existing since the time of Ancient Rome, it is a nation ruled by the imperial family of the Red Dragons. In terms of human history, it is the nation closest to the British Empire. Based on its powerful military and economy, it once ruled over numerous Mythical Creature nations as vassal states. During the age of New World exploration, it was also the first Mythical Creature nation from the Old World to set foot in the Americas. However, after a great war with the Northern Kingdom, both nations were greatly weakened. All vassal states, except for the Polynesia region which remains a nominal vassal, have gained independence. Now, it only governs its mainland, the Italian Peninsula, and its immediate surroundings.

   Politics

   Support and tradition for the imperial family of the Red Dragons, the dragons of flame, are dominant, so no one questions their rule. However, as the current queen, Priscilla, is still young, Echidna, who has assisted in state affairs as the head maid since the time of the first king, is leading virtually all political activities as regent. With no pure-blooded Red Dragons left in the world besides Priscilla, there is anxiety about the next generation.

   Military

   It is a nation where Red Dragons, as well as wyverns, a subspecies of dragon, are particularly numerous. It uses so much fire in its military that it has earned the nickname "Empire of Flame." As its military doctrine is centered around fire, there is also equipment for troops without flame abilities. The majority of this equipment is the flamethrower tank version of the L6/40 light tank, abandoned by the Italian army during World War II. Since these are not very numerous, they also use fire arrows by coating them with oil.

   Culture

   While there are slight differences depending on the region, overall, the culture strongly resembles that of Ancient Rome. Characteristics include the presence of bathhouses in each region and the use of Roman-style architecture. The official common language is Italian, but many older Mythical Creatures are more comfortable using Latin.

   Capital

   The capital "cor" (코르), inside Mount Etna, is formed of a giant lava cave, within which a city and the imperial palace exist. As Etna is an active volcano, lava flows continuously, illuminating the city and giving it an overall reddish glow. Despite being the imperial capital, the population residing there is small due to this peculiarity. Mostly fire-resistant species reside there, and landmarks such as a Colosseum and a lava hot spring grand bath also exist.

   In the East Asian region, there was nothing that could properly be called a nation of Mythical Creatures; only tribal communities existed. However, after suffering great damage from the invasion of the Northern Kingdom, the chieftains of each tribe united to form a federal nation, achieving a unified defense and economy. In the beginning, the Mythical Creatures of the Japanese archipelago were also part of this, but unlike typical Mythical Creatures, their religious power was strong, and they were unaccustomed to a central governing body. They broke away to form a separate nation called Yamato, leading to the a of affairs.

   Politics

   It has a political system where a parliament composed of Mythical Creatures such as chieftains and elders elects a Prime Minister to serve as the leader. Each constituent region of the federation has strong independent tendencies, and while the Prime Minister decides on national matters, they cannot significantly interfere in the autonomous regions.

   Military

   Armaments are mainly at a 16th-century level, with cold weapons such as armor, swords, and bows forming the core of the army. The main reason for the lack of weapon development is that many East Asian Mythical Creatures possess abilities akin to magic, so they did not feel the need for advanced weapons. However, wary of other nations that have begun to actively utilize human weapon systems, the current Prime Minister is leading efforts to strengthen cooperation with the Eden Foundation and introduce modern defensive weapon systems.

   Culture

   The culture spans across East Asia, with each autonomous region having strong unique characteristics. Perhaps because the current Prime Minister is from the Korean Peninsula, Korean culture has spread widely in recent times.

   Capital

   There is no legally designated capital; cities have formed in areas with large populations of Mythical Creatures and serve as central hubs. However, since most administrative institutions are located in the Mount Paektu area, it functions as the administrative capital, and Mount Paektu is known externally as the capital.

Outwardly, it appears to be an absolute monarchy where the Emperor decides everything, but in reality, the Emperor has no power, and the nation is ruled by the shrines and the military. For this reason, it exhibits some militaristic tendencies and is exclusionary towards the outside.

   Politics

   The Emperor, Hina, was forcibly installed and has no real power. Although the final decision is made by the Emperor, it is merely a formality where she just stamps her seal after everything has already been decided by the military and the shrines.

   Military

   Under the pretext of self-defense, they have captured and are operating a large number of abandoned weapons from the Empire of Japan from the Pacific War era. They use the Arisaka Type 38 rifle as their main firearm. In a surprising aspect, they have the most powerful navy among all Mythical Creature nations. This is because, setting aside the question of whether it is actually operable, they have captured and possess the Imperial Japanese Navy's battleship Yamato. However, as a long time has passed, many parts are broken, and many components have been replaced, leading to it being called the "Ship of Theseus." They are also having trouble with the Japanese government claiming ownership and human tourists frequently visiting to see the battleship.

Originally, it was an alliance akin to a non-aggression pact, agreeing not to interfere with each other, but the merger has resulted in a state of chaos.

    Military

    They tend to prioritize individual abilities over weapons. There are separate armies following Byzantine culture and Mesopotamian culture, and their supply systems and organization are also different.

    Culture

    In the modern Türkiye region, Byzantine culture is dominant, while south of Syria, Mesopotamian culture is the mainstay. The languages they use also differ.

    It is a diarchy between the Reichskommissar, Apophis, and the Pharaoh, Wadjet. Apophis and her followers are mostly loyalists who are faithful to the Northern Kingdom. Wadjet's followers have strong self-reliant and independent tendencies, and the two factions are eager to kill each other.

    Military

    Due to the Northern Kingdom's fear of a rebellion if given powerful weapons, new technology is controlled. As a result, their armaments are still at the level of cold weapons. However, the elite unit known as the Medjay is said to be skilled enough to counter technology with pure ability alone.

    Memphis has been used as the capital since the time of the Egyptian New Kingdom. When the human kingdom of Egypt fell, Mythical Creatures occupied the city, and it has functioned as the capital ever since. They are serious about managing the city, with thorough maintenance and reconstruction in the traditional style. As such, it retains the appearance of a city from the B.C. era.
