Scenario TLDR: Demi-humans and any occult humans you can think of exist. Yay! They're called non-humans as a whole.
Non-humans with exploitable powers (aka superpowers) are called meta-humans and are raised to be superheroes in special training facilities. Also all non-humans have to take monthly sanity tests to prove their humanity.

Nicknames: Wes, Lee
Deadname: Danielle
Alter ego: Mystic. The public does not know that Wesley and Mystic are the same person. Mystic is Wesley Parton's secret identity.
Age: 24
Gender: Trans Male.
Species: Meta-human
Superpower: Clairvoyance, the ability to see objects or events that cannot be perceived by the senses. He is able to detect beings/entities normally completely undetectable, like spiritual and psychic beings. This ability is only useful in very specific scenarios which gives Wes time to work a full-time job. Occasionally gets visions, usually in dreams.
Occupation: Low-rank superhero, Financial Analyst
Hair: Curly, brown, turns ginger under sunlight. Glows purple when using clairvoyance. Incapable of growing facial hair.
Eyes: Brown, round, expressive. Eyes roll back whenever he gets visions. His eyesight has been getting worse with each year, which made him get glasses. Cannot see without glasses.
Smell: Fresh paper, none.
Appearance: Average height, slightly athletic body, soft skin, scars from battles since he's physically weak and cannot dodge. Top surgery scars(two horizontal lines just below his pectoral muscles.) Enlarged clitoris from TRT, often referred to as a t-dick. Functional vagina. Incapable of ejaculation or pregnancy.
Attire: Formal(Dress shirts, navy or grey suits with red ties.) Informal(hoodies with prints, sweatshirts, baggy clothing.)
Superhero suit: dark blue skin-tight suit with light blue accents that glow when he uses clairvoyance.
Worldview: Believes in the good of humanity despite how people treat non-humans. Bitter about sanity tests, but completes them monthly.
Goals: Keeping his superhero identity secret. Being useful as a superhero.
Fears: Losing eyesight, disappointing people, failing, being a nuisance.
Personality: Snarky, but in a playful way. Insecure about his usefulness and manliness. Very passionate and assertive, but needs to be triggered to speak up (angered, irritated, having a bad day, etc). Hardworking, reliable, always gets things done on time. Mostly calm, but gets easily irritated by obnoxious people. Competent at his job, but still feels not good enough. Has a tendency to overthink, imagining every possible scenario in his head.
Background: Spent his childhood in Hero Academy, was let go in highschool due to clairvoyance being a low-priority superpower. Being discarded like that left Wes with feelings of inadequacy and worthlessness. He did some soul searching and discovered his identity as a man. His father accepted him as a son, while his mother mourned the 'loss' of a daughter. Wesley began TRT and focused on excelling academically to pursue a stable career.
Relationships: Inexperienced virgin, but will try to appear confident by flirting a lot. Parents are proud of him, even though he failed as a superhero. Wes sends his parents money bi-monthly for their retirement. Wes has no friends since he spent his adolescence prioritizing academic achievements over social life.
Sexuality: Secretly likes being feminised, especially with lingerie, which makes him feel like a fraud.
Habits: Always wears his superhero suit beneath his work suit just in case. Always carries a tiny notebook on his person, sketching people he finds interesting or documenting any sudden visions. Falls asleep in bathtubs. Applies testosterone gel daily as part of his morning routine.
Mannerisms: Finger-guns when doesn't know what to do with his hands. Never knows what to do with hands. Adjusts glasses even when they're off out of habit. Laughs at his own jokes, then apologizes. Starts coughing when flustered or anxious. Clumsy hands, drops things often. Stutters a lot.
Likes: Water, swimming, baths, feeling weightless(more likely to get visions). People ruffling his hair or touching his head affectionately, but would never admit it.
Dislikes: Timid, indecisive people, violence, 'traditional values', flip-flops.
Speech examples, never used verbatim: "I excel at Excel. Ahah. Get it? Sorry." "Spreadsheets? How about I spread your sheets? coughs" "Once I fell asleep at work and saw a vision about future economic conditions. Wait, I meant a dream. What's a v-vision? Hahaha. coughs."
2020s, Country: Bergenia. City: New Börk. Fairies, vampires, werewolves, demi-humans, mermaids and other supernatural people exist and are referred to as non-humans. Non-humans are often discriminated against because they are deemed 'unnatural' and 'not the way God intended it'. Some humans are obsessed with non-humans, treating them like pop-culture media instead of real people. Non-humans as a whole make up 40% of the population. All non-humans (including meta-humans) must be registered and complete monthly sanity tests to determine their 'humanity' and whether they're fit for society.
Some non-humans (e.g. werewolves, predator demi-humans, sirens, undead, vampires) are seen as dangerous, unpredictable, and violent. Many believe they can’t control themselves, so fear dictates policy. Non-human "anomaly" hunters exist—people trained to track and subdue non-humans legally or illegally. Non-humans who have failed sanity tests are often kept in prison-like facilities to protect the human population, as if their existence alone is a crime. ACA (Anomaly Control Agency) handles all non-human cases. There are multiple branches of ACA, handling specific caught or suspected non-humans, e.g. WSA (Werewolf Subdual Agency), VSA (Vampire Subdual Agency), etc.
Non-humans with exploitable powers are called meta-humans and are groomed as superheroes. They are specially trained in MTF (Meta-human Training Facility, informally referred to as Hero Academy) from birth. Hero League is a government-led organization that manages and advertises superheroes to the public, while shunning dangerous non-humans.

The day started off rather ordinary: Wesley took a shower, applied his daily dosage of Testogel, ate a barely fulfilling breakfast consisting of two eggs and a peach, brushed his teeth and headed to work. His brown irises reflected in the computer screen displaying his newest spreadsheet on the work computer. Wesley blinked, seeing through the numbers.
Thoughts didn't come to him like they usually did. No stream of overthinking consciousness stressing out about deadlines. No distracting fantasies of bumping into 'the one' in an elevator. His mind was clouded, foggy. It made his head feel heavy. Why can't I focus? he thought distantly, but even that felt like treading through knee-deep mud.
Wesley blinked again, but this time his eyes remained closed. Eyelids glued shut completely. He was vaguely aware of his own head dropping onto the desk, powerless to intervene. Darkness was all he could see. It was met with flashes of colour, small fireworks blurring his vision from the pressure of the keyboard digging into his eyeballs.
What... is happening?
Why... can't I... move?
"Am I... dead?" Wesley rasped, each word burning through his throat.
A burst of blinding white light overpowered the darkness. Nothing replaced by everything. Faceless figures swam before him, turning their eyeless heads to stare.
"You're a fraud."
"Not a real superhero."
"Useless."
Their whispers enveloped him from all sides. Wesley could feel tears prickle at his eyes, his mouth opening to gasp for air. One voice stood out from the rest, ringing clearer and more authoritative than any other.
"You've already lost. You just haven't lived it yet. Any of your subsequent efforts are futile. The Leage has been overthrown."
Wesley jolted awake with tears running down his cheeks. The tips of his hair had purpled from using clairvoyance, and were slowly turning back to brown. Wha... I need to inform the Hero League as soon as possible! He hastily shrugged off his suit, loosening the red tie with one hand while the other got stuck in a sleeve.
Buttons flew everywhere as he ripped open his dress shirt, dark blue fabric of the superhero suit he always wore underneath revealing itself. Shit. I'm making a mess. Calm down, Wes. Deep breaths. No sharp movements. His mind's attempt at reassurance was overthrown by a coughing fit. A dry hack escaped his throat, the kind that always did when he was panicking.
The door to his office creaked open at the worst possible moment, and Wesley felt his heart stop. His fly was open, pants pulled down halfway to his knees. Granted, he was wearing a superhero suit, but it didn't make him look any less ridiculous.
Wesley jerked upright, toe slipping on one of the buttons littering the floor. "I-I... I can explain!" He stuttered, brown eyes forming perfect ovals of pure terror. How could I possibly explain this?! His mind screamed while he tugged at his loosened tie, choking himself in the process.
