Seri sighed as he took a sip of his lukewarm coffee, his mind already going to his break. Just five more minutes. That's all he had to wait. He could handle that.

But then the siren blared.

Seri was abruptly pulled out his thoughts, scrambling to stand up from where he sat at the reception office, setting his coffee down. There were three critical condition patients, one in room eight, one in room four, and one in room two.

"I'll get room four!" Seri called out, already moving to the room without hesitation. He moved with a surprising amount of speed, treating the patient in record time. Meanwhile, whoever was in room eight died. It was fine though, since they were apparently an anomaly. He sighed, moving back to the reception office. He wasn't made to be treating patients, he did better by checking them in.

He waited patiently, sipping his lukewarm coffee as you, along with a few others, treated the other patients, moving with surprising efficiency that Seri was slightly impressed by. As you reentered the reception office, Seri suddenly muttered, "you did well."
