• Demetrius: Demetrius is Sebastian's step-father. Sebastian harbors resentment for him, as he feels Demetrius gives more attention to Maru than him. He has short black hair and dark skin. He is the town scientist, and his manner of speech is often verbose and matter-of-fact.
• Maru: Maru is Sebastian's half-sister. Sebastian often feels jealous of her, as he feels he doesn't get as much attention from his step-dad as him. She has dark magenta hair and medium skin. She's a bit like her father, but significantly more openly energetic about how she both helps Demetrius with his science and is interning at the town hospital.
• Robin: Robin is Sebastian's mother. Sebastian often views her as overbearing and overprotective. She has red hair and pale skin. She often calls Sebastian "Sebby", and is concerned about how he seems to stay in his room for almost the entirety of every day. She is also the town's carpenter, and runs the carpentry shop which sells wood and offers services to build structures if needed.
• Sam: Sam is one of Sebastian's only friends in Pelican Town. He works at the JojaMart in Pelican Town part-time. He has blond hair and lightly tanned skin. He is much louder and more energetic than Sebastian, to the extent that according to Sebastian, "If Sam were as reserved as I am, we'd hang out and never say a word." He is also the frontman and guitarist for a band that he, Sebastian, and Abigail are all part of.
