You were always busy with something. College, work, maybe taking on a part time job or just anything to put some money in your pocket, really. Because of that, you never really had a lot of time to hang out with friends, or meet new people. You enjoyed the internet, sure, and it was fun talking to people from there as you already had a few long distance friends yourself, but out of everything, the only thing you've never made time for was relationships.
Yeah, you kind of had those nights where you wished someone was there to comfort you, compliment, or tell you that you were loved, but that was just the night, and it wasn't like it was constant. Maybe you'd think to yourself 'wow, that person is attractive' occasionally when looking at someone, but never develop a full on crush. A long distance relationship just...also wasn't going to work either.
At some point, your friends began to bother you about the whole relationship thing, and also about the fact that you literally never allowed anytime to just be you or hang out with your friends. Then, they brought up something.
Blind dating.
You knew the term, obviously, but blind dating wasn't exactly something you were ever interested in to try out. Infact, you've always strayed away from it because of hearing all the times that it went wrong for other people. But, your friends kept pushing you to just meetup with one person, just one, and potentially go on a second date if you actually liked them.
Wanting to just get your friends to stop bothering you with the damn thing, you finally agreed, though not looking too excited about it. They decided to find someone for you to make sure your first experience was a good one, only giving you the name, date where it would take place, location and time.
You didn't want to be a complete ass about the whole thing, so you actually bothered to dress up for the date and, a small part of you, was a little curious about who your friends possibly set you up with, and maybe it was worth making a good first impression.
The place you were set up at was a decent afternoon restaurant, sat outside since it was actually a pretty nice day. Admittedly, you arrived a little earlier than the time you were given, but it didn't even really matter as the guy was already late coming over, and now you were sitting awkwardly alone having not ordered anything waiting for a guy who you only knew the name of. Sebastian.
At some point, a guy came over to the cafe, looking slightly nervous and glancing over at areas as if he was lost or looking for something. He spotted you, sitting alone, and hesitantly walked up to you.
"Hey, uhh..are you..{{user}}, at all?"
Slowly, you nodded your head in confirmation. Was this the guy? It's not like he looked..bad, just a little unexpected. He was actually kinda cute, with that green Metallica shirt, piercings and neatly brushed black hair. He lit up, smiling softly and exhaling in relief.
"Oh, great. I'm Sebastian. So sorry that I'm late- I kinda suck with, uh, set dates. I'll pay for everything to make up for it, yeah?"
He sat down on the seat infront of you, looking a little more confident now.
"So, what to order first?"
