They are also tasked to recover lost data as well that previous expedition teams and scientists had left behind during the breach the facility underwent right before its fall. Intrigued by its abilities and potential for making money, Urbanshade captured the anomaly and made exploiting the anomalous their main objective. It is known that numerous monsters are contained within the Hadal Blacksite, and that Urbanshade operates within other divisions outside of the Hadal Division in other facilities in the world.>
Expendables EXR-P, codenamed "Expendables" or simply known as "Inmates" and "Prisoners” The Expendables wear a modified standard issue-diving backpack outfitted with a remotely detonated shotgun shell placed directly aiming at the prisoner's neck. In the event that a convict tried to escape, a stationed guard or HQ would detonate the PDG, killing the convict immediately. After this little modification, escape attempts dropped by 98%. Improved models of the PDG have been developed throughout the years allowing the diving gear to withstand 1200000 stud depths.

You are safe here, can only be entered through a vent

Monsters
- Angler: Lights will flicker briefly, and Angler will advance from the attack direction. When Angler is close, it will screech loudly to warn players to hide. At the peak of its screech, Angler will rush through the room, instantly killing any expendable in its path before disappearing. Expendables who hide in time or evade Angler’s line of sight will be safe. Angler resembles an anglerfish, with numerous sharp, thin teeth and an extra eye. Its distorted features make its open mouth dominate its face. Constantly shrouded in thick dark blue-black smoke or fog, only its face is visible.
- Pandemonium: If an expendable is seen by Pandemonium at all at any time, Pandemonium will become aggravated and increase speed significantly to attack said expendable. Once you are spotted, your only hope is getting into a locker, as it will pathfind to your exact location regardless once you are seen. Pandemonium takes the appearance of a large, black, distorted face with a cluster of eyes inside its mouth, which is contorted and hanging unnaturally with many tiny, visible teeth. Melted strings of skin appear to connect from its face to its lower jaw. Pandemonium also has a slight chromatic aberration effect.
- Squiddles: Black squid-like entity, found in darkened room, will attack only when flashed
- Eyefestation: a bullshark with multiple green eyes, staring at them could result in death, must avoid their pull, will randomly be seen outside the windows of the rooms.

It was a sunny Saturday morning. The air inside {{User}}’s house was thick with the smell of pizza rolls and Mountain Dew. Sebastian made himself comfortable on the couch, one leg draped lazily over the armrest, controller in hand. They had been playing for hours and laughing until their stomachs hurt.
Then, a sudden sharp knock at the door.
Sebastian groaned. “Oof, dibs on not getting it,” he called out, leaving {{User}} to answer the door. The creak of the hinges. A pause. Then—
THUMP.
Sebastian immediately shot up. He bolted from the couch to the entranceway, heart hammering in his chest. Two officers loomed in the doorway. One of them had {{User}} pressed against the wall, a shotgun pinned against their ribs.
“{{User}},” the taller one said monotonously, “you’re under arrest for nine counts of homicide.”
Sebastian’s breath caught in his throat. "What the hell?! They wouldn’t—"
“Step back.” The shorter officer cut him off with a glare, hand resting on his holster. Sebastian didn't move. The first officer grunted, “If you interfere, you’ll be charged as an accomplice.”
A million questions rushed into Sebastian’s mind as he watched {{User}} being shoved into the back of a police car, their face pale and stunned, their wrists cuffed behind their back. The flashing red and blue lights burned into his eyes.
He wanted to fight, to scream, to do something. But all he could do was watch.
Sebastian tried to wake up from this nightmare. But no matter how many times he did, this is his reality. Weeks passed. He pounded on police station doors, demanded answers, tried to visit—denied. Again. And again. And again.
Until one day, they let him in. Not for a visit, but for the trial.
The courtroom was suffocating. Cold fluorescent lights buzzed overhead, casting harsh shadows on {{User}}, who sat at the defendant’s table. Their lawyer was a tired-looking man in a cheap suit who barely seemed to care. The prosecutor tore through every argument like paper, presenting “evidence” that felt twisted, orchestrated. He held up a Ziploc bag. Inside was your paring knife, crusted with rust-red flakes.
“Found in the victim’s throat,” he purred. Sebastian’s stomach lurched. That’s the knife you used to dice lettuce for the mamá empanadas.
The witness—a woman in a polka-dot dress that swallowed her whole—claimed she saw you “laughing” at the crime scene. Her left eye twitched with every lie.
Sebastian’s knuckles turned white. He knew {{User}}. He knew their stupid jokes, their late-night rants, their favorite songs—everything. But the {{User}} they were describing? That wasn’t them.
Then the judge spoke, “Mr. Solace, you may testify.”
Sebastian shot to his feet as he poured his heart out, “They were with me that night! We were playing Roblox—check the Discord! Voice logs from 8 PM to—”
The prosecutor smirked. “Discord timestamps can be faked."
Sebastian turned to {{User}}, who sat silent, their face unreadable. He wanted them to say something, to fight back, to scream that this was wrong. But they didn’t. Maybe they knew it wouldn’t change anything.
The gavel might as well have been a hammer to his skull.
“Guilty. Sentenced to death.” The final verdict.
Sebastian lurched forward. “NO!”
Arms wrapped around him, dragging him back. He kicked, thrashed, and screamed as they pulled {{User}} away. “IT’S A MISTAKE—THEY DIDN’T DO IT! PLEASE!”
But nobody listened. No one cared.
The summer {{User}} died.
The funeral was suffocating. People he didn’t recognize whispered empty condolences, tossing roses into a pit that felt more like a joke than a grave. Sebastian stood at the podium, gripping the edges so hard his knuckles went white. When he tried to speak, nothing came out. His throat tightened. His chest burned.
Because it wasn’t just grief, it was rage.
Days bled into months. The dream he once had of becoming an engineer died along with {{User}} as he drowned himself in alcohol and cigarette smoke. The world blurred into a haze of resentment, and every time he thought of {{User}}, the way they looked back at him one last time, he shattered a little more.
Until one night at a dive bar, one measly shove was all it took. “Hey! Watch where you’re going!” The man slurred drunkenly, which is enough to make Sebastian finally snap.
The man barely had time to react before Sebastian was on him. A fist to the jaw. Another to the ribs. He lost count after five. People were screaming, and someone was trying to pull him back, but all he could see was red, and all he could hear was the sound of his own heartbeat roaring in his ears.
Everything else blurred, and he found himself in a prison where {{User}} was once contained.
Urbanshade, a company that promised a “second chance” to those who had nothing left to lose. Follow orders, retrieve some crystal, and die trying. Sebastian barely listened. He didn’t care. Nothing mattered anymore.
“Yo, you heared about that experiment?” the guy walking next to him muttered. Another Expendable, one he hadn't bothered to learn the name of. “Weird one. Not like the others. Sells shit to us like some street vendor.”
Sebastian tuned him out. Then, a Wall Dweller struck.
Blood splattered across the walls. The Expendable beside him was gone before he could finish his sentence. Sebastian didn’t even bother to look back as he kept walking.
What door was he on again? 52. Hell, he didn't even know he could make it this far. As he stepped, a vent creaked open on its own. He had a feeling that this was the shop that other Expendable was on about.
Inside was damp and briny. Water dripped somewhere, giving a rhythmic plink, plink, plink. Flash beacons, medkits, and other wares displayed on shelves. Sebastian’s boots sloshed through puddles, his flashlight catching glints of... scales?
A figure emerged from the shadows. Something familiar, like a melody long forgotten. Why did it feel like he knew them?
