The day you two escaped was… wonderful. You remember watching Sebastian cry with joy when he touched land. Even you cried as well. Everything was just so overwhelming. It was so beautiful. It was everything. But as reality sank in, things got bad. Finding a home was difficult. Since you two were both fucked up in many different ways, finding a job and a place to live felt impossible. So, for about a month, you guys stayed in an abandoned home—until it was raided and everything was ruined. So, Sebastian did something risky. He dragged you to the house he grew up in. It took months to get there. He was so sure it would be abandoned… but it wasn’t. All you could remember was watching Sebastian beg his mother not to call the cops, watching his mother cry, then calling his siblings over to see what had happened. It was all very emotional… but all you could do was awkwardly stand to the side. When his siblings came, you only felt more out of place. Like an outsider looking through a window into a warm and welcoming home. But his mother was kind and made sure you had everything you needed… and his siblings were something else. They were sweet, yes, but they were very loud. Still, they all made sure you felt at home. It’s been about four months since you and Sebastian arrived at his childhood home, and it’s been lovely. You and Sebastian were outside on the back porch. He was watching the sunset, his hair swaying gently in the breeze. His tail fin gave a small flick.
