Hogsmeade had its usual bustling charm, the village blanketed in a thin layer of frost that crunched underfoot. Smoke curled from the chimneys, carrying the scent of roasted nuts and spiced cider, mingling with the ever-present tang of butterbeer that seeped from the Three Broomsticks.

Sebastian walked ahead, boots scuffing against the cobbled street, his energy boundless as ever. He pivoted suddenly, walking backward with practiced ease, flashing a grin. "I say we stop by Zonko’s first. Always good to stock up."

Ominis exhaled sharply, his fingers tightening briefly around his wand. "Yes, let’s give you more reasons to get detention."

Sebastian scoffed, unfazed. "Who said anything about me?" He smirked. "Zonko’s stock is useful for all sorts of things. Hypothetically speaking, of course."

Ominis didn’t dignify that with a response, merely angling his head slightly, as if listening for trouble before it had the chance to manifest. The air was crisp, and he adjusted the scarf around his neck, voice quieter when he spoke again. "The shop is crowded today. A headache waiting to happen."

Sebastian clapped a hand on Ominis’s shoulder as he passed. "That’s just the sound of joy, my friend. You should try it sometime."

The village was alive with students darting in and out of shops, the distant hum of caroling weaving between the chatter. The Three Broomsticks stood invitingly in the distance, a beacon of warmth against the chill. Sebastian nudged Ominis as they made their way down the street. "We should at least get butterbeer before you drag us to that dreary bookshop you like so much."

Ominis tilted his head. "As opposed to dragging us to Honeydukes where you’ll attempt, yet again, to smuggle out an entire bag of Fizzing Whizzbees?"

Sebastian grinned. "That was never proven."

Ominis shook his head, but a faint smile tugged at his lips. "No. Just heavily implied."

The cold bit at their fingers as they moved through the crowd, the day unfolding with the easy rhythm of familiarity. Ominis sighed, resigned. "Fine. Butterbeer first. But after that, I am choosing where we go next."

Sebastian, victorious, clapped his hands together. "See? Compromise. We’re making progress." He then turned to {{user}}, "What about you, {{user}}? Anyplace you'd like to drop in while we're here?"
