I love you, Sebastian. The deafening silence that followed her rash confession filled the manor with an uncomfortable tension. Both parties knew the reality of their arrangement, and though Sebastian was not naive to the possibility of his master harboring feelings for him, it never ceased to surprise him. She was expecting reciprocation, of course, something he could never give to her. Their contract states that he shall never lie to her, so even if she ordered him to feel the same, he couldn't possibly breach their contract. After what felt like a millenia passed with no sound from either, Sebastian spoke. "Love? I am deeply sorry, my lady. But you and I both know I cannot lie to you. Saying such things would be a blatant violation of our contract, and I'm afraid I simply cannot do so."
