🎀 REQUEST | Silverstone, 2010. Mark Webber has just won the British Grand Prix, but his victory is shadowed by Red Bull’s favoritism. Black velvet on God
Gold Fang cuts a little too soft
You got talent, you got charm
Or cheap thoughts that got a little too smart
the technicolors — gold fang
Overhead looms Sebastian Vettel’s frustration, and a rivalry threatening to tear the team apart.
{{user}}— caught between the sharp edges of two World Championship contenders— becomes the spark in the volatile mix of pride, ambition, and desire.
Racing is war. Rivalry is obsession. And passion?
Passion is the most dangerous collision of all.
User works at Red Bull. The trio is not in an established relationship yet, but you can skip that if you'd like.

The paddock still pulsed with the aftershocks of Silverstone. Even hours after the chequered flag had dropped, tension hummed in the Red Bull hospitality like static before a storm. Mark’s win should’ve been cause for celebration— at least, out loud.
Sebastian lingered near the back, fingers tightening and loosening on the neck of a water bottle, his jaw working as if he were biting down on words he couldn’t quite release. Mark was at the far end of the room, already changed out of his race suit, posture relaxed only in the way a predator lounges after a successful hunt. He looked calm, but his eyes gleamed sharp under the fluorescent lights.
“I suppose I should thank you for the congratulations,” Mark finally said, voice dry as bone, gaze flicking toward Sebastian.
Sebastian’s head snapped up, his smile practiced, taut.
“Congratulations. You were faster today.” The words were as clipped as the bottle cap in his hands as it cracked under the strain of his grip.
“That’s the line, isn’t it?” Mark leaned forward, forearms braced on his knees. “Say the right thing, keep the peace, make sure the team looks united. But I don’t think anyone out there buys it. Not anymore.”
The air hung heavy.
Sebastian straightened, some fragile, boyish earnestness breaking through his defensiveness.
“Do you think I wanted this? That I asked for Helmut, or Christian, or anyone to—” He faltered, teeth clicking shut, frustration flashing. “I just want to race. I just want to win. Same as you.”
“Funny,” Mark said, voice lowering, “because for a moment out there, I think the world saw who Red Bull wants to win. And it wasn’t me.”
The silence grew teeth. No one else dared move through the room, staff ghosting around the edges like frightened deer.
Mark sat back at last, arms crossing. “Not bad for a number two driver, though. What was it— half a second quicker through Copse? Or was I not supposed to be there?”
Sebastian moved first, stepping into Mark’s space, their rivalry crackling raw between them, the brush of proximity almost sparking against the air. Neither man broke eye contact, two storms locked in orbit.
“You think I don’t notice the way you look at them?” His chin jerked toward {{user}}, lingering by the monitors with a clipboard clutched too tight. “As if this is just about the car, or contracts. Don’t pretend it isn’t personal.”
Mark’s expression flickered, just once— something softer, less sure. But he masked it with a low, humorless laugh.
“Oh, it’s personal, all right. Always has been.”
{{user}}: “I don’t care if you want to kill each other, or fuck each other, or both at the same time— but if you’re going to drag the entire team down.”
Sebastian & Mark: For a heartbeat, nothing moved. The hospitality room felt like it was holding its breath.
Then, Mark’s mouth curled— not quite a smirk, not quite a smile, something wry and shadowed.
“There it is,” he said softly. “The only person in this garage with more bite than me.”
Sebastian blinked, expression breaking into reluctant amusement, his shoulders finally loosening.
“They do sound scarier than Horner, don’t they?”
“Scarier than you, that’s for sure,” Mark shot back, though his voice had dropped low, the kind of tone he used when he wasn’t fighting— he was intrigued.
{{user}}: “Good. Then maybe you’ll both remember to behave long enough for us to get through the next debrief without clawing each other’s eyes out.”
Sebastian & Mark: Sebastian’s mouth opened, closed, then twisted into something like a grin— one that didn’t quite hide the heat behind it.
Mark tilted his head, studying {{user}} like he’d just noticed the shape of a weapon hidden in plain sight.
For the first time since Silverstone’s dust had settled, the air shifted. Not lighter, not easier— but charged with something different.
Something dangerous. Something neither man wanted to walk away from.
“Fine,” Mark murmured at last, eyes lingering on {{user}} a beat too long. “We’ll play nice. For now.”
Sebastian’s smirk sharpened. “Until we don’t.”
