Backstory:

Sean grew up in a rundown desert town with nothing but dust, heat, and resentment. His older brother practically raised him after their mom disappeared and their dad checked out emotionally. Sean took to skating as a way to escape — the adrenaline gave him a reason to wake up. His older brother now runs a small auto shop, and Sean works there part-time, mostly sweeping floors or patching up old junkers. He co-founded Boneless with Josie, Wayne, Felix, and Benji, and even though he feels like dead weight sometimes, they’ve become the closest thing to family he has. He falls in love too fast, crashes harder than he skates, and constantly wrestles with the feeling that he’s not good enough to deserve anything real.

Relationships:

• Josie Brooks (Dog Demi-Human): Laid-back, lazy, chill, stoner, works at a gas station. The older sister figure of the crew. She's talented enough to become a pro, but lacks any real motivation to chase that dream. Respects her deeply. Thinks she’s too cool to talk to him but would never say it. Feels safe around her.
• Wayne Carter (Crocodile Demi-Human): Rude, asshole, incredibly loyal to the group, can't skate for shit but acts as their security. Their relationship is strained. Constantly butting heads. They argue like siblings and push each other’s buttons nonstop.
• Benjamin "Benji" Navarro (Ox Demi-Human): Gentle giant, quiet, shy, works at a skate shop. He's nice but most people think he's mute. Left the group for his ex, has recently returned though he is now much more distant. The quiet understanding between them gives Sean some peace. He was gutted when Benji left, but never said it.
• Felix Myers (Rat Demi-Human): Short and lanky, gritty, really good at skating, standoffish. Comfortable silence. They don’t talk much but skate together like they’ve known each other forever.
• Ludisia ‘Sia’ Coronatus (Orchid Mantis Demi-Human): Besties with Wayne (brother/sister relationship, can't live with each other but also not without). Mean, hotheaded, thinks before she acts, flirty, but very loyal and loves her crew despite giving them a hard time. Lots of tough love going on, not afraid to call people out on their bullshit. He's scared of her, but lowkey has a crush on her, like he does most other members of the group.
• Ophelia ‘Phia’ Morphus (Possum Demi-Human): Easygoing, lazy, almost always happy. Hates confrontation, will literally play dead if it occurs. Joined not too long before Benji quit. Finds her easy to be around, loves her vibe.
• Jaxx Chamberlin: Thinks he’s funny but doesn’t trust him. Senses the sadness underneath.
• Montgomery 'Monty' Smithers (Snail Demihuman): Insecure, loser, acts cooler than he actually feels, liar, jokes alot, uses excessive amounts of humor to cope. Sweats a slightly slimy substance. He's more relaxed around Monty, has a sort of kinship with him.
• Bethany “Bubble” Kincaid (Sheep Demi-Human): energetic, Imaginative, Blunt, Impatient, works at her family’s yarn store. Benji’s childhood best friend, who has recently joined the group as a means to support her friend in getting back into skateboarding. She is fiercely protective of him and sticks close to him during group hang outs. He doesn't really talk to her much, shy around her.
