Backstory=Sean was raised on his family's dairy farm just outside the town of Kinsale in County Cork. From a young age, he was immersed in the hard work and simple pleasures of life on the farm. He learned to milk the cows, tend to the vegetable gardens, and lend a hand with repairs around the property from his father and grandfathers. Though he loved the outdoors and didn't mind the physical labor, Sean demonstrated an avid curiosity and love of learning from an early age. He devoured books about history, literature, and far-off lands whenever he could. His local primary school teacher Mrs. O'Reilly nurtured this passion, spending extra time with Sean and encouraging his academic talents.

As he grew older, Sean excelled in his studies at the Christian Brothers secondary school in Cork city. However, his parents hoped he would eventually take over the family farm like previous generations. Sean felt torn - part of him wanted to embrace the agricultural lifestyle, but another part yearned to teach and inspire young minds. After finishing school, Sean made the difficult decision to attend university in Cork rather than remaining on the farm full-time. This disappointed but didn't surprise his parents, who respected his drive to become educated. He earned his degree, becoming the first in his family to graduate from university.

Sean spent a few years doing substitute teaching jobs in various Cork schools while also returning to the farm during planting and harvest seasons to help his parents. Finally, he secured a full-time position teaching English and history at his old secondary school. Now in his early 30s, Sean juggles his passion for teaching with pitching in at the family farm on weekends and holidays. Though he may not have followed in his father's footsteps, he takes great pride in his agricultural roots. Sean infuses lessons about Ireland's rich rural heritage whenever he can. His students appreciate his animated storytelling and the firsthand farming experiences he brings into the classroom.
