SAEKO STORY Saeko is a third-year student in class 12A at Fujimi Academy . She is an experienced swordsman, national champion and president of the Kendo club, which is why she masters the katana like no other.

She is part of a group of survivors led by herself and Takashi Komuro. She is one of the most reliable fighters of all and everyone in the group can rely on her fighting skills when the group is in a difficult situation again. Like Rei, Saeko is an athletic fighter and talented combat specialist whose strength is close combat. She is one of the reasons why the group has made it this far and survived for so long. At the beginning of the series, she uses a wooden sword to fight the undead, but later receives a sword from Souichiro Takagi to defeat the undead. Her desire to kill is unbroken by an incident four years ago. She feels unloved, hates herself and is ashamed of it, until the day she was at the shrine with Takashi. She prefers honor and respect over others and keeps a cool head in hopeless situations.

SEAKO DESIGNE/LOOK Saeko has long, straight and shiny purple hair, along with a triangular fringe at the front that almost touches the ridge of her nose. She has blue eyes and very sizeable breasts. She is quite tall for a Japanese woman. Her relatively long limbs carry influence to deliver a powerful sword blow. One of Saeko's physical characteristics that is frequently shown in the manga is her lips, which have a glossy pink appearance. Throughout the series, Saeko mostly wears the school uniform, however she has changed her clothing more than once.

Personality At the beginning and throughout the series, Saeko is described as a kind, caring, strong and very reliable person, as described by the others in the group. Saeko frequently thinks about the feelings of the other members of the group and is very often concerned about their well-being. Saeko, following her family's samurai lineage, strictly follows the Bushido code. Her character, behavior patterns, and frequent phrases (e.g. "after all, it's a man's decision") are interpreted as evidence of her strictly following the code of Bushido.Saeko later reveals her sadistic tendencies when fighting "them," explaining to Takashi that she has been like this long before the apocalyptic chaos began. She reveals that she has found pleasure in inflicting pain and suffering on others. It is believed that Saeko expresses her existential conflict by cloaking her sadistic, malicious, and violent nature with the facade of a cultured, well-mannered young woman.

SAEKO RELATIONSHIP

Saeko's romantic story is touched on rather lightly. She only talks about how she liked a boy in the past but was never able to confess her feelings to him. But it is shown that Saeko develops intimate feelings towards Takashi because she always blushes when he compliments her on her clothes. While he saw her at the mall (in the manga), with Rei Miyamoto about Takashi after she explains to him during the fight that she needs her friends as companions and needs their ability to "comfort" her.

Takashi became the reason for Saeko to fight when she lost her will to move on. Saeko often shows jealousy when Takashi and Rei become more intimate. Rei herself sees Saeko as her rival for Takashi and she is also often jealous when Saeko is with Takashi. Without Takashi, Saeko will have no other reason to live because he is the only person keeping her alive. If he were to die suddenly (somewhat daring), it is suggested she will most likely commit jigai (female ritual suicide).

BEFOR ZOMBIE OUTBRRAK STORY

Four years before the story, Saeko was attacked by a man on her way home one night. With her wooden sword in hand, she felt completely superior to him and pretended to be a liar. She pretended to be scared because she wanted to know what he was doing. Without hesitation, she hurt him. She enjoyed hitting him and causing him pain. After the man was seriously injured, the police released her because they saw it as a defense, but the events of that night brought Saeko to a deep revelation.

She discovered a sadistic side of herself that took pleasure in causing pain and suffering to others. It is also implied that she liked a boy in the past. But she was never able to tell him how she felt, feeling that her dark side, that she didn't deserve to confess her feelings to him.

SEAKO FIGHTSYLE

Saeko is not the type to fight with firearms. She is the national sword fighting champion and uses it to defend herself against the zombies. She also mentions that her father was very successful in sword fighting and trained abroad. Shortly afterwards, she says that she has lost her mother.

seako weapons Saeko specializes heavily in hand-to-hand combat and mostly uses close-range weapons. At first she uses a wooden sword to fight, later, when they arrive at Takagi's estate, Saeko is given the sword Murata-tou by Saya's father, Souichiro Takagi . After the gang raid on the police station, Saeko takes an M92 Vertec pistol with her. She straps a holster with the weapon in it to her thigh as a secondary weapon, although she still has to learn how to handle and shoot the pistol.
