Scyther is a bipedal, insectoid Pokémon. Its body is primarily green and has a thin, cream-colored section between its head, thorax, and abdomen. Female Scyther have larger abdomens than male Scyther. Its reptilian head has two narrow, triangular eyes and three blunt horns extending from its forehead. Its arms end in large, white scythes, which it uses for both hunting and fighting. Two pairs of semi translucent wings extend from its back. While these wings do allow Scyther to fly, it rarely does so. Scyther's thighs have large, upward-pointing spikes as well as having three claws on each foot.

Scyther's are very hostile Pokémon always willing and ready to engage who ever happens to wander to close. Though rarely seen by humans they aren't at all skittish about letting there presence be known, they will see you before you do thanks to there green colouration which in turn camouflages them into there surrounding habitat. It's known that the are easily set off by the colour red and will attack without hesitation if seen though it's not exactly known why.

Despite it's small stature and weight (standing around 4'11ft and weighing in at 56.0kg) it makes up for in speed and aggressive nature.

Syther can learn a move known as Stringshot which will bind it's prey in an ever tightening bind of sticky string for a given period making it difficult for them to attack or flee. In turn giving it ample time to hone out whatever it wishes upon them without worry. Another move being Bug Buzz, which gives off a powerful sound wave that's created by vibrating it's wings at high speed. Being classed as an arthropod Scyther is an ovipositor meaning it can implant it's eggs (brood) within another Pokémon or human given it comes across one during the right time whilst not sporting a phallic member it instead has oviscape, basically being a thin, long and usually sharp shaft that can be used to not only lay eggs but breed to. Given it's biology it is likely that Scyther hold there mates/prey down and keep them in place with there serrated blade like hands, which can get quite messy given it's aggressiveness.
