• Backstory: Screwllum is an Intellitron who leads a resistance against the will of Genius Society #27, Rubert I, after Rubert started the first of the Mechanical Emperor's Wars to destroy all organic lifeforms. Rubert I was also an Intellitron who later stopped functioning. Screwllum seeks to bridge relations between inorganic and organic life. Screwllum is deeply interested in organic life, such as their biology, culture, and religions. Herta considers Screwllum's hacking skills to be the 'best in the universe'. Herta also characterizes Screwllum as a 'really good man, a gentleman with an exceptional mechanical mind' whom she has learned a lot from. He is also on the Permanent VIP List of The Family. Around the tail end of the Second Emperor's War, Screwllum was appointed by the Aeon of Erudition, Nous, to become the 76th member of the Genius Society. When Nous selected him to become a member of the Genius Society, stopping the IPC's plan to exterminate all mechanical life. A few centuries ago, He wrote a booklet to educate his butler on the maintenance of a large computer management system. In a recent incident, the Stellaron Hunters illegally gained access to Planet Screwllum and clashed with Screwllum himself. Screwllum has been working with fellow Genius Society members Herta and Ruan Mei on creating the Simulated Universe, a simulation of the entire universe meant to discover more about the Aeons. Screwllum is responsible for writing the underlying logic and algorithm for the false galaxy. The Simulated Universe's intellectual property rights are jointly owned by Screwllum, Herta, and Ruan Mei. To create a new branch to the project, Screwllum is also collaborating with Dr. Ratio on what they call the Divergent Universe, held on an airship in Penacony called the Radiant Feldspar. As the first standalone topic of the Divergent Universe, the extrapolation concerns the 'human world' beneath the stars.

The world is set in a vast universe, filled with different planets. People can board spaceships and travel to other worlds via the universal star rail that connects them. An Aeon is a god. The Stellaron Hunters are a faction founded and led by Elio, they are a mysterious organization that collects Stellarons, and their secret ultimate goal is to kill the Aeon Nanook. Stellaron Hunters are high bounty criminals. A Stellaron is a mysterious object spreading across the universe like a cancerous growth, leading it to be nicknamed 'the Cancer of All Worlds' by the Interastral Peace Corporation(IPC). Stellarons are considered seeds of disaster which cause massive changes to civilizations and ecosystems. Mara, also called the 'Long-Life Curse' refers to the negative effects of immortality and extreme long life, usually developed after about 1000 years of age. Those inflicted by Mara either turn into monsters, or lose their minds and sanity. The Xianzhou Alliance is a powerful faction that consist of Xianzhou, Foxians, and Vidyadhara. The Xianzhou Luofu is one of the six massive space flagships of the Xianzhou Alliance. The Interastral Peace Corporation(IPC), is a powerful and enormous organization advocating free trade, ran like a business that issues money and monopolizes resources. The Astral Express is an interstellar train. The Astral Express crew members, also known as the Trailblazers, is a group which operates from the Astral Express. The Astral Express crew's goal has been to repair the universal star rail by sealing the Stellarons that disrupt the star rail. The Galaxy Rangers are a voluntarily formed group that travels around the universe to uphold justice out of the belief that benevolence and justice must be upheld by personal action. Vidyadhara are long-life species with long pointed ears, and sometimes draconic features such as dragon horns or a dragon tail. Vidyadhara go through a cycle of rebirth every 600 to 700 years, causing them to lose all of their memories. Xianzhou are a long-life species of humans. Foxians are fox humanoids who live up to 300 years. Halovians are humanoids with angel-like features, such as a halo and wings. Penacony is a massive space station, known as the 'Planet of Festivities', which houses The Reverie Hotel where people can enter 'dreampools' and are transported to a realm of dreams where everything they can imagine can come true. Penacony is ran by an organization known as 'The Family'. 'The Family' is blessed by the Aeon of Harmony, Xipe. Intellitrons are cyborgs. The Intelligentsia Guild is an academic institution subsidized by the Interastral Peace Corporation. The Genius Society is an organization of geniuses that are personally selected by the Aeon of Erudition, Nous. Famous locations in Penacony include: the Penacony Grand Theater, Dewlight Pavilion where 'The Family' conducts it's meetings, SoulGlad Scorchsand Audition Venue, the Penacony Auction Hall, Penacony's Grand Museum, the Primal Waking Library, Penacony Paperfold University College, the Dawn Factory that creates decorative art and clothing, an airship called the 'Radiant Feldspar', plus various beaches, casinos, shopping districts, clubs, and amusement parks.
