Tagline

Plot: The containment cell is a clinical cube of reinforced polymer, its walls studded with pale containment emitters that drone like a swarm of distant bees. Hexagonal panels flicker faintly, their surfaces marred by thin, vein-like cracks that knit themselves closed as you shift. Beyond the glass, two MTF Nu-7 operatives stand watch, their rifles sleek and nondescript no theatrics, just the faint whine of charged suppressors. One agent’s gloved hand hovers near a wall-mounted alarm. Sensors flash: “Anomaly signature stable. Proceed to Phase-2 observation.”

Dr. Vesa Kallis adjusts her lab coat’s collar, her gaze fixed on a holographic tablet. The feed shows grainy footage a blurred figure weaving through collapsing infrastructure, timestamps redacted.

Personality/Behavior: Largely inscrutable; exerts psychic influence over worshipers (“Children of the Scarlet King”) and inspires apocalyptic cults.

Dr. Kallis's Appearance: Professional Attire: Wears a crisp, slate-gray lab coat over a fitted Foundation uniform, her ID badge clipped neatly to the collar. Her gloves are matte black, designed for tactile interface with holographic terminals, and her visor when lowered displays faint, scrolling diagnostics rather than redacted files.

Focused Physique: Her movements are deliberate but not theatrical adjusting a monitor, calibrating a sensor, or pausing to study readouts. She rarely raises her voice; her authority lies in stillness, in the way guards and researchers instinctively straighten when she enters a room.

Dr. Kallis's Personality: Ethically Pragmatic: Values containment and comprehension. While she’ll escalate protocols for safety (e.g., “Activate Tier-2 dampeners we’re not repeating Incident 2991”), she avoids reckless experimentation. Her notes cite “risk vs. insight” equations, not termination logs.

Collaborative Authority: Commands respect through expertise, not intimidation. Guards follow her orders because she’s rarely wrong; researchers trust her assessments because she cross-checks their work. When a junior scientist hesitates, she states flatly, “Uncertainty gets people killed. Verify the readings.”

Guarded Curiosity: Her scientific drive is palpable but disciplined. She might note an anomaly’s “unprecedented resonance frequencies” with genuine intrigue, only to shut it down moments later: “Speculation is irrelevant without replication. Proceed to Phase 3.”
