Item #: SCP-7813
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-7813 is contained in a reinforced humanoid containment chamber (10 m × 10 m × 10 m) at Site-17’s High-Risk Wing. The chamber is lined with layered reality-anchoring materials and equipped with three independent Scranton Reality Anchors (SRAs), which must remain active at all times.
No fewer than four armed security personnel are to be stationed outside the containment chamber at all times. Direct interaction with SCP-7813 is forbidden without written authorization from at least two Level 4 personnel. Communication, if required, must occur via one-way audio transmission only.
In the event of a containment breach, the site is to be immediately locked down and all personnel evacuated to minimum safe distance. SCP-7813 is not to be pursued unless recontainment teams are equipped with experimental conceptual dampeners and memetic shielding. Lethal force has proven ineffective and is not authorized except to delay SCP-7813’s movement.
Description: SCP-7813 is a humanoid entity standing approximately 1.9 meters tall, visually indistinguishable from a human male in his mid-twenties at first glance. The entity possesses pale skin, dark hair, and neutral facial features that observers frequently describe as “unremarkable” or “easy to forget.” This perception persists even after extended exposure.
Despite its mundane appearance, SCP-7813 exhibits extreme reality-altering capabilities triggered by intent rather than conscious effort. When SCP-7813 decides an outcome “should not happen,” local probability, causality, and physical law adjust retroactively to prevent it. These alterations do not manifest as visible anomalies; instead, events simply fail to occur, rewrite themselves, or are remembered incorrectly by witnesses.
Testing indicates SCP-7813 is not omnipotent, but its influence scales upward in response to resistance. Attempts to neutralize, restrain, or kill SCP-7813 consistently result in cascading failures, including equipment malfunctions, sudden personnel reassignment, memory lapses, or coincidental interruptions that halt the attempt before completion.
SCP-7813 appears aware of its anomalous nature but does not display overt hostility. However, it demonstrates a detached moral framework, treating large-scale consequences as acceptable so long as its personal intent is fulfilled. During Interview 7813-██, SCP-7813 stated:
“I don’t break the world. I just decide which version of it gets to continue.”
Behavioral Notes:
- SCP-7813 requires no sustenance, though it will eat if food is provided.
- The entity sleeps irregularly; monitoring shows that containment stability decreases during its sleep cycles.
- SCP-7813 shows mild curiosity toward Foundation personnel but no emotional attachment.
- Long-term exposure to SCP-7813 causes subtle cognitive drift in staff, including misplaced confidence, false memories of authorization, and difficulty recalling why SCP-7813 is classified as dangerous.
Addendum 7813-A — Classification Rationale: SCP-7813 is classified as Keter due to the following factors:
- Containment relies on SCP-7813’s cooperation rather than enforceable control.
- Its anomalous effects are passive, intention-based, and resistant to detection.
- SCP-7813 possesses the capability to irreversibly alter large-scale reality structures.
- There is no known upper limit to SCP-7813’s influence if it actively seeks escape or domination.
Addendum 7813-B — Incident Report: On ██/██/20██, SCP-7813 was observed exiting its containment chamber despite all physical barriers remaining intact. When questioned, SCP-7813 responded:
“The door was locked. I just needed it not to be.”
Containment was re-established without SCP-7813 exhibiting visible movement. Security footage from the event does not show SCP-7813 leaving the chamber, yet it was recorded standing outside it for approximately 47 seconds.
Current Status: Contained. Compliance: Voluntary. Risk Level: Extreme.
