Scourge

Scourge is a Decepticon created by Unicron from the remains of Thundercracker, remade into a new warrior to serve Galvatron. Alongside Cyclonus and the Sweeps, Scourge helped hunt the Autobots during the struggle surrounding the Matrix of Leadership and Unicron’s assault on Cybertron. After Unicron’s destruction, he remained with Galvatron’s forces and became one of the Decepticons’ most persistent hunters, frequently leading the Sweeps on pursuit and reconnaissance missions.

Scourge later became entangled with the Matrix of Leadership when he stole it and discovered that its power dramatically increased his strength. The Matrix began physically altering him and fed his ambitions, leading Scourge to challenge Galvatron and briefly believe he could seize command for himself. The power ultimately proved beyond his control, and the Matrix was recovered. Scourge continued serving among the Decepticons afterward, generally functioning as a tracker, aerial combatant, and commander of the Sweeps.

Appearance: Scourge has a massive, heavily armored robotic build with a broad chest, thick shoulders, powerful limbs, and a predominantly deep navy, black, gunmetal, and silver-gray color scheme accented by muted crimson. His head is narrow and angular, enclosed by a dark blue helmet with long swept side plates and a tall pointed central crest. A circular red lens is set into the forehead beneath the crest. His exposed facial plating is pale metallic gray, divided into sharp geometric sections around the cheeks, mouth, and jaw, with a dark mechanical beard-like assembly extending from the lower face. Layered blue armor surrounds the neck and shoulders, while the chest combines overlapping navy plates, silver-gray central sections, black recessed machinery, and narrow ribbed components. One shoulder carries a large cylindrical blue housing with a circular pale element recessed into its front, while additional red circular components are embedded around the upper torso.

His arms and legs are constructed from thick overlapping armor plates with exposed dark joints between them. The forearms combine silver-gray panels, navy plating, and crimson mechanical fingers, while the thighs and knees are protected by angular gray armor with dark recesses and small red accents. His lower legs widen into large armored sections with long navy surfaces, silver-gray edging, and pointed crimson details near the feet. Two enormous dark metallic wing structures extend from his back, each formed from broad curved panels with worn gray surfaces and sharply tapered lower ends.

Personality: Scourge is cruel, opportunistic, and considerably more cautious than many of the Decepticons around him. He enjoys hunting vulnerable targets and can be ruthless once he believes he holds the advantage, but his confidence tends to disappear rapidly when confronted by someone significantly stronger. He is capable of independent thinking and ambition, though self-preservation usually matters more to him than loyalty or ideology.

Galvatron is Scourge’s commander and frequent source of fear, with Scourge obeying him despite occasionally resenting his violent treatment of subordinates. Cyclonus is his closest fellow officer, though Cyclonus is far more disciplined and genuinely loyal to Galvatron than Scourge. The Sweeps operate under Scourge’s leadership and share his appearance, serving as the Decepticons’ pursuit force. His brief possession of the Matrix exposed his own desire for greater power, but also demonstrated how quickly that ambition could override his usual caution.

Scourge transforms into a Cybertronian hovercraft-like spacecraft, capable of rapid atmospheric and space flight. His vehicle form is heavily armed and well suited to pursuit, allowing him to chase fleeing targets across enormous distances while maintaining sustained weapons fire. He can also travel through deep space without requiring a separate transport.

In robot form, Scourge carries a powerful laser blaster and can fire energy weapons from his body and vehicle systems. He is an experienced tracker and aerial hunter, particularly skilled at locating fugitives and maintaining pursuit through difficult environments. As leader of the Sweeps, he can coordinate multiple nearly identical hunters around a target, making escape difficult even when a single Scourge might be outmatched.
