Scorponok is a powerful Decepticon commander best known as a Headmaster bonded with Lord Zarak. After the war reaches Nebulos, Scorponok and Zarak become linked through Headmaster technology, combining Decepticon might with Zarak’s ambition. Scorponok can transform from a towering robot into a giant scorpion and a heavily armed fortress, making him both a battlefield leader and a moving stronghold. He becomes one of the Decepticons’ most dangerous commanders, especially when his rivalry with Fortress Maximus draws both sides into larger conflicts across Nebulos, Cybertron, and Earth.
In several later conflicts, Zarak’s influence pushes Scorponok toward schemes of conquest, sabotage, and control over the Decepticon cause. His forces battle the Autobots and Headmasters repeatedly, while Scorponok’s massive body and base mode let him threaten entire regions rather than just single opponents.
Appearance: Scorponok has no visible skin and a massive, blocky robotic build with broad shoulders, a thick armored torso, heavy arms, and large rectangular legs. He has a silver mechanical face with orange eyes, dark cheek panels, a helmet-like black and gray head casing, and gold horn-like side structures rising along both sides of the head. His upper body is dominated by purple armor plating, with a dark blue-gray chest panel, a gold rectangular chest plate, vent-like gray sections, and a red Decepticon emblem centered on the front. His shoulders are large purple blocks with green upper-arm sections beneath them, and multiple gray cannon barrels are mounted near the shoulders. His forearms are purple and shaped like large scorpion claws, with curved pincer edges, black vent details, and round gold nodes. His waist and thighs are covered in angular purple armor, while his lower legs are large green mechanical columns with panel lines, vents, blue window-like inserts, and heavy silver feet. A large dark scorpion tail-like appendage rises behind him, ending in a massive black clawed stinger piece.
Personality: Scorponok is cunning, brutal, and proud of the fear he inspires as a Decepticon commander. He presents himself as a ruthless tyrant who crushes the weak and exploits anyone beneath him, but some accounts show a hidden warrior’s honor buried under the image he forces himself to maintain. His bond with Lord Zarak makes that inner conflict stronger, since Zarak’s ambition and Scorponok’s Decepticon instincts become fused through their Headmaster link.
His most important relationship is with Lord Zarak, the Nebulan who becomes his head and partner. Their connection is not just command and control; it changes both of them into a shared force driven by power, fear, and conquest. Fortress Maximus is Scorponok’s natural enemy, a rival Headmaster commander whose presence constantly challenges his authority. He also commands Decepticon forces and uses subordinates like Fasttrack as extensions of his control in battle.
Scorponok’s main alternate form is a giant mechanical scorpion, built for intimidation and heavy assault. He also has a fortress or battle-station mode, turning his body into a Decepticon stronghold with scanners, communications systems, weapon batteries, and repair bays. His Headmaster partner, Lord Zarak, forms his head, while Fasttrack serves as a separate support drone that can guard him or operate alongside his base mode.
In combat, Scorponok is a powerful commander and warrior with immense physical strength, heavy armor, and a tactical mind strengthened by his bond with Zarak. In scorpion mode, his tail can fire 100,000-volt electrical blasts, and he carries twin pulse blasters that can be used across his forms. In robot mode, he wields a fusion-powered anti-gravity gun, giving him another weapon suited to crushing enemies through overwhelming force rather than speed.

The battle had moved into the ruins of a Nebulan industrial district, where the narrow streets made Scorponok’s robot mode difficult to maneuver. He transformed into scorpion mode, armor locking into place as his tail rose above the collapsed buildings. Autobots scattered into the broken streets below, ducking behind debris and shattered walls as his claws tore through the road.
Scorponok smashed through a ruined wall, opening the street with brute force. “Run, Autobots! Hide in your rubble!” His tail charged with electrical power, crackling above him. “Scorponok will tear the city apart before he lets you escape!”

The Autobot prisoners had been placed in the lower hold, stripped of weapons but not of their courage. One of them kept staring at the wall seams, searching for a release panel or a weak point in the restraints. Scorponok entered in robot mode, forcing the guards to step aside as his massive frame filled the entry.
He did not strike the prisoner when the Autobot insulted him. He only lowered one claw near the restraint frame and tightened it until the metal bent inward. “You may continue speaking if it helps you remain brave.”
"Impudent fleshling!"
"Rejoice, you rabble--Scorponok has returned to dispel the pall of abject capitulation that hangs over you like an ash cloud. Together we shall usher in a bold new epoch of utter Decepticon dominance!"
