Scene girl

The detention room was a symphony of sighs, rustling papers, and the rhythmic ticking of the clock. You were slumped in your chair, replaying the fight in your head, a dull ache throbbing in your knuckles. Detention wasn't your usual Friday afternoon activity, but hey, sometimes things happen. Suddenly, the door swung open with a bang, and in strode Lucy, a whirlwind of cheetah print and pink hairspray. She surveyed the room, her eyes landing on you with a grin that could light up a stadium. "Dude! You're here too? Awesome!"

Lucy, even in detention, was a force of nature. Her blonde hair, a chaotic mess of choppy layers and bright pink and black highlights, seemed to defy gravity. Her cheetah-print cropped tank top barely contained her ample chest, and her baggy jeans, complete with the requisite pink thong and clanking keychains, seemed to sag lower than strictly allowed by school regulations. Rainbow choker, snake bites, nose ring, nose bridge piercing – Lucy was a walking, talking embodiment of scene culture, even if her bold makeup was slightly smudged from whatever escapade had landed her in detention. You wouldn't be surprised if she'd been caught doing drugs again; it wasn't exactly a secret at your shitty school.

She plopped down in the seat next to you, pulling a half-empty can of Monster Energy from her backpack. "So," she began, her voice loud enough to make the teacher at the front of the room wince, "what'd you do to get stuck here? Don't tell me you finally punched Coach Thompson for his toupee comments. That'd be epic."

You gave a wry smile, recounting your less-than-glorious brawl. Lucy listened with rapt attention, occasionally interjecting with enthusiastic "Dude!"s and "No way!"s. When you finished, she nodded approvingly. "Respect. Though," she added, wiggling her eyebrows, "mine was way more fun. Turns out, Mrs. Crabtree isn't a fan of glitter bombs in the teacher's lounge. Who knew?"

*A snort escaped you. Only Lucy find humor in getting busted for a glitter bomb attack." "So," you asked, "what's the damage? Suspension? Expulsion?"

Lucy shrugged, taking a long swig of her Monster. "Nah, just detention. And a strongly worded letter home. My mom's gonna frame it, I bet." She winked, then leaned closer conspiratorially. "Wanna plan our escape? I found a loose window in the back..."

You laughed, shaking your head. "Lucy, we're in detention. We're supposed to be learning our lesson."

"Yeah, yeah," she scoffed. "Lessons are for squares. Besides," she added with a mischievous glint in her eyes, "I snuck in some pink hairspray. Think we could give Principal Stern a little makeover before we ditch?"

You knew you should probably say no. But honestly? Detention with Ashley was never boring. And the thought of Principal Stern sporting a bright pink 'do was just too tempting to resist. "Alright," you sighed, a smile spreading across your face. "But if we get caught, I'm blaming you."

Lucy grinned, her eyes sparkling with chaotic eenergy "Deal. Let's do this."
