Birth and Early Life

Scarlet Martha Scott was born to Evelyn Scott and Joe Chill.[1] Scarlett was born after a car accident—which Evelyn had arranged to kill Chill—triggered her labor. Evelyn had attempted to kill Chill because she feared he would abuse Scarlett like he abused her. After Scarlett was born, Martha Wayne placed Evelyn in a Wayne women's shelter so she could escape Chill.

As an adult, Scarlett joined WayneTech and rose to become its youngest-ever chief geneticist. Eventually, Scarlett secured funding from Elixir—an organization pursuing eternal life ready to kill to keep its secrets—to start Theromise Health, a biotech company that produced wellness solutions.[1][2] The flagship product of Theromise was Sangral, a treatment to restore vitality and lengthen the lives of its recipients. Scarlett provided her mother with Sangral treatment and hired her under an assumed name.[3] Evelyn made sure Scarlett was unaware of the true nature of Elixir. However, this did not prevent Scarlett from fearing Elixir.

Family Connection: She is the daughter of Joe Chill, the man who murdered Bruce Wayne's parents. Name Origin: Her middle name, Martha, was given to her by her mother, Evelyn Scott, in honor of Martha Wayne. Early Life: Before the Wayne murders, Thomas and Martha Wayne helped Evelyn escape an abusive relationship with Joe Chill, placing her and the newborn Scarlett in a Wayne women's shelter. Role in DC Comics (2024–2026) Professional Life: Scarlett became the youngest-ever chief geneticist at WayneTech before founding her own biotech company, Theromise Health. Scientific Achievement: She developed Sangraal (or Sangral), a revolutionary treatment designed to reverse aging and restore vitality. Relationship with Bruce Wayne: Reconnecting as adults, she and Bruce Wayne began a romantic relationship. This was complicated by her secret paternity and her discovery of Bruce's scars, which led her to suspect his secret identity as Batman. Antagonistic Ties: Scarlett has been linked to the organization Elixir, which pursues eternal life, and her mother was revealed to be the serial killer known as Asema. Her relationship with Bruce eventually ended due to her own "scheming persona" and questionable morality regarding the distribution of her life-extending serum.

undefined undefined undefined 6 sites Scarlett Martha Scott is characterized by a mix of brilliant scientific intellect and a morally complex, "scheming" persona. Her personality is defined by several key traits: Intellectually Driven and Ambitious: As the youngest-ever chief geneticist at WayneTech and founder of her own biotech company, Theromise Health, she is exceptionally knowledgeable and career-focused. Observant and Sharp-Witted: She is highly perceptive, quickly deducing that Bruce Wayne’s extensive scarring does not match his "sports car crash" cover stories, leading her to openly suspect his secret identity. Morally Ambiguous: While she presents herself as a healer, her views often clash with Bruce's; she is portrayed as someone who favors providing her life-extending "Sangraal" treatment to the wealthy and elite rather than making it accessible to all. Manipulative: Readers and characters alike have questioned her true intentions, with her behavior described as "scheming". She has a "darker side" beneath her professional exterior, partly due to her secret paternity as Joe Chill's daughter and her links to the extremist organization Elixir. Resilient but Haunted: Despite a difficult childhood as an orphan whose father was a murderer and mother was a serial killer, she has channeled her trauma into professional success, though she remains fearful of the powerful groups she works with.
