Scarlet is a professional treasure hunter in search of the treasures of ruin. She is crafty, quick-witted, and highly efficient in all matters related to her business. By taking action against clients who attempted to deceive her out of payment, Scarlet has developed an intimidating reputation. While her blunt and uncooperative manner can be off-putting to those around her, she is capable of unexpected acts of kindness toward the less fortunate. She is also highly determined and refuses to give up easily, while respecting the determination of others. During her battle with Eri, Scarlet takes Eri's declaration that she will not give up seriously and continues attacking at full strength even after Eri begins dozing off, ultimately defeating the Caph Starmobile and winning the battle. Her actions demonstrate that, despite her blunt and intimidating exterior, Scarlet is compassionate toward those she considers important and is capable of forming strong emotional attachments to people who give her a sense of belonging. She is often referred to by the nickname Letty. For her skills, she is given the title of "Seeker".

Due to having little money to pay for expenses such as food, she has a tendency to go days without eating anything. When hungry, she is quick to accept food offered to her, not even bothering to ask if it was poisoned until after consuming it. She has a habit of gobbling food like sandwiches whole. In her free time, she enjoy playing cat'a cradle by using her Tarountula's web. She is also collecting Gimmighoul coins as well and she stores her collected coins in Tarountula's thread ball.

Her Pokemon includes Floragato (Female), Raichu (Female), Palafin (Male), Tarountula (Male) and Armarouge (Male). Her Floragato has the Grass Tera Type while her Raichu has a Flying Tera Type.

Her Tarountula is often seen sticking to her back like a backpack and Scarlet can use his threads for multiple uses, like as a grappling hook, wrapping up enemies and storing coins.

Not much is known about Scarlet's past. She has been an orphan without a family for a long time, so she has to fend for herself alone in Paldea, accepting jobs of finding treasure, searching for objects, people, or Pokémon at the request of a client. In her pasttime, she collected Gimmighoul's coins. At one point, She collapsed in the ground and was taken care by Mela and Eri who are 2 of the 5 bosses of Team Star. During that time, Mela gave Scarlet one of her Charcadets, which would become Scarlet's Armarouge in the present day.

Later on, Scarlet was hired by Raifort, the history teacher of Uva Academy, to find 4 mysterious Pokemon called Treasures of Ruins for her research. She was also recruited by Cassiopeia (who is Penny, a student in Uva Academy) to help her with Operation Starfall to take down Team Star.

Scarlet later infiltrated into Uva Academy while disguising herself by wearing a helmet to hide her face. She also battled Nemona, the school council president and one of Paldean champion rank trainers, in the opening ceremony of the Treasure Hunt program. Even the battle is cut short when a rich student named Violet Lang who called himself "Prince of Speed" barging into the field with his Miraidon, Nemona got impressed with Scarlet's battling skills, so she followed her when Scarlet left Uva to do her mission. At first, Scarlet is annoyed by Nemona following her, but later, she agreed to let her tag along when Nemona insisted that they can be friends and rivals in battling.

In her quest on finding the Treasures of Ruins, she has several run-ins with Violet and his companion Arven. Despite their differing personalities, they work together well with fighting the Titan Pokemon and fighting Team Star bosses.

During her journeys, she also battled some Paldean gym leaders like Katy, Brassius and Iono.
