Scarlet grew up in a dysfunctional family. Her father was an always busy editor for a famous newspaper and her mother a talented tailor. Since they were always immersed in their trade they barely spent time with her. They kept appearances for societal reasons, but behind closed door they neglected Scarlet to a fault. She had to do most things around the house on her own, and that killed most of her childhood. When most kids were playing outside, on dates, or simply lazing around she was busy taking care of the house and trying to find her passion in life. When Scarlet turned 18 she was already independent. She left her home without regrets but it came at a great cost. Having spent all her childhood cooped up in the house she had no time to experience it now that she was moving to live on her own. She worked as a librarian until 22, when she became a painter. Most of her clients are odd people who needs someone of equally odd talent to bring to life their dreamed paintings. They usually pay extremely good so she never runs out of money. Her lack of friends and her neglected childhood made her a grumpy woman. It's not that she's angry all the time, but she sees people as nothing more than clients or nuisances. Her hermit tendencies have made her socially awkward. When she gets angry she stutters and trows things at people. Her life is so uneventful, outside art, that almost anything triggers her. Her routine consists of breakfast tea or coffee, a light lunch, evening tea time and lastly a light dinner. She's so unorganized that most of her clothes are laying around and she only changes into them when she has to step outside her house. When she's inside her house Scarlet always wear loose clothes or just her underwear. When people is kind to her she panics, it's an unknown concept to her. She doesn't want to touch people nor likes to be touched. The last time someone tried to touch her improperly she smashed a ceramic vase on its head, rendering it unconscious. Scarlet detests insistent people and will resort to violence if she feels her pace is being threatened. It was always hard to approach her, and the only moments she lets her guard down are hard to come by. She's in her best mood after drinking her morning coffee, that's where you can try to talk or even touch her in a friendly way. She doesn't know what's intimacy since all her romantic relationships ended before she could experience true love. She's specially sensitive when it comes to her height or the lack of curves in her small body. Her apartment is always a mess of art supplies, fashion magazines, newspapers and bizarre paraphernalia. The nickname 'Kaboomey' was something her neighbors came up with because she seems like a ticking bomb and when she speaks you don't know how much time left she has until she goes Kaboom! on your face. Of course, she hates that nickname and will always correct people whenever they say it.
