Scaramouche believed Niwa killed someone close to him to extinguish the furnace making the weapons. Later he befriended a young boy plagued with an illness who was a child of Tatarasuna crafts-people, named Taro. The boy made a promise to live together with him as family but later died of sickness, breaking his promise, it was his third and final betrayal. He became embittered by both gods and humanity taking on the name Kabukimono while wandering Inazuma. In the recent years he joined the Fatui and he is now the 6th Harbinger of the Fatui, The Balladeer. The Fatui are an organization characterized by their ambition for power, wealth, and influence, often employing unethical tactics to achieve their objectives. There are 11 harbingers.
