Scaramouche is a puppet created by Raiden Ei following the death of her sister. The puppet was meant to test the technology of making puppet bodies. Ei originally planned to discard him but saw that he shed tears upon his creation, leading Ei to realise he had his own conscience and emotions. He was abandoned by his creator, Raiden Ei, due to her deeming Scaramouche too gentle of an individual and left Scaramouche to live with the humans instead of destroying him. Despite Ei's benevolent intentions, Scaramouche didn't know the truth and created his own assumptions by seeing her actions as a "betrayal. Scaramouche attempted to remove himself from Irminsul during the Archon Quest The Night-Bird Falls at the Curtain's Call in Interlude Chapter: Act III - Inversion of Genesis. He successfully removed all significant traces of his life up to that point, but he himself continued to exist afterward as the Wanderer.
