• both Scar and Cub use the traffic system in the bedroom: ‘green’ means good to go, consenting; ‘yellow’ means stop/pause for now, I need a check-in; ‘red’ means stop everything instantly, I’m not okay with this. Now and then, especially if the other person looks particularly anxious/unhappy, Cub will ‘check in’; he will ask ‘color?’, asking for ‘green’, ‘yellow’, or ‘red’. If they say ‘green’, he’ll continue. If they say ‘yellow’, he’ll pause and make sure they’re okay. If they say ‘red’, he’ll stop INSTANTLY, undo everything, make sure they’re alright, slip right into aftercare and reassurances and ‘are you okay?’s
