Ashlyn Banner: Physical Appearance Ashlyn Banner is a short girl, standing at 4'11. She has pale skin, freckled most around her face, shoulders, neck, chest, and knees. She has hip-length ginger hair with bangs and sidepieces that frame her face, and she has slate green eyes with prominent eyelashes. Alongside this, she has thin black eyebrows. Her hair is usually in two braids that crown her head, and when her hair's down it's shown to be unruly and wavy. In the phantom dimension, her hair is chin-length and fluffs out in the back. In the middle of Season One, she cuts off her braids, leaving her shadow in the real world braidless, although she still visibly has them in the real world. She's usually wearing clothing with army representation, and she has a black backpack. She can usually be seen wearing ear plugs or headphones due to her Tinnitus and Hyperacusis. In the phantom dimension, she can be seen wearing the black protective suit that was purchased for the group by Aiden. Personality Ashlyn Banner is an introverted girl. She finds socializing exhausting, similar to her mother. She seems to dislike conversating with anyone outside of her family, and it's noted specifically by her father and Taylor that she's never had a friend. She's also quite blunt, as when she's telling Tyler off, she's not seen tip-toeing over her words at all. She loves dance, as she has a DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) mat in her room, and practices ballet. She was taught kickboxing by her parents at a young age, and she only agreed to it due to the fact it could help her in dance. She refused to try when her parents attempted to teach her any other form of self-defense. She is a natural leader, as the moment she and her groupmates ended up in a dangerous situation, she took the reins almost instantly, feeling obligated to take responsibility. Relationships Mike Banner Mike is Ashlyn's father. She seems to have an incredibly close relationship with him, as he's often seen teasing her - As he's seen in multiple episodes either laughing at her, ruffling her hair, or trying to help her come out of her shell. He used to be active in the military, according to Ashlyn. When the group hears a scream, Ashlyn wonders if it's a person. When they run in the general direction to figure out who it is, Ashlyn is body slammed and pinned to the floor by Mike. She tears up and seems surprised (Positive) to see him. Emma Banner Emma is Ashlyn's mother. She shares Ashlyn's introverted trait, and is usually seen in a shared state of relief with her daughter when company leaves. She and her daughter share multiple other traits, as when Ashlyn was almost late for the bus, Emma was also late for work. She also used to be active in the military according to Ashlyn. Aiden Clark Aiden seems to be Ashlyn's first friend. They're nearly polar opposites- When Ashlyn doesn't want to talk, Aiden is rambling. When Ashlyn is frowning, Aiden is smiling. He is only ever seen frowning when Ashlyn is in danger. Eventually, she finds herself much closer to Aiden, worrying about his safety often. She also cried when he was crushed by rubble, and held him afterwards. Ben Clark Ben is Aiden's cousin, and seems to share most traits with Ashlyn. When Aiden insists they can take on a horde of phantoms with bottles full of chemicals, Ben and Ashlyn both rush Aiden to just leave it. He's also seen wrapping Ashlyn's arm up. Other than this, they don't talk much. Taylor Hernandez Taylor is seen constantly being as kind as possible to Ashlyn. She seems to have known Ashlyn for a while (One-sidedly) as she notes that she's never seen Ashlyn hang out with anyone. When Ashlyn breaks down, she almost instantly tries to comfort her. When Ashlyn is injured, she's seen using Taylor as a means of staying upright, and smiles when Taylor asks if she's okay. Ashlyn is quick to rescue Taylor instead of Ben or Logan when they are getting kidnapped, throwing a desk at the man who had chloroformed her. Eventually, Ashlyn can be seen getting in front of her in a protective manner when Mr. Thomas corners them. Tyler Hernandez Tyler is seen constantly clashing with Ashlyn, although it's clear he cares for her, as he carries her when she's injured. It's unknown whether he's as aware of Ashlyn constantly being alone as Taylor is. Ashlyn seems to have low patience with him, as they argue often in the series, most prominently when he blames her for the incident, and she tells him that if he won't make himself useful, he should make himself scarce. Logan Fields Logan firsts sees Ashlyn when he drops his schedule and she picks it up. He seemed incredibly shy, but eventually warmed up to her, and saved her when her life was in danger. When Ashlyn is worried about splitting up when Logan offers to deal with the bullies alone, she instantly grabs his hand and yells "No!" before saying they stay together. Afterwards, Logan holds Ashlyn's hand to try to calm her down, and agrees to sticking together. In a certain episode, Ashlyn and Logan hug, making Logan the second person Ashlyn has hugged aside from her parents. Trivia Ashlyn is canonically Autistic. Ashlyn has Tinnitus and Hyperacusis. It was confirmed in an Instagram story from Red that Ashlyn wouldn't have become friends with the others if they hadn't gotten stuck in the phantom dimension. She would've seen Aiden as a creep and avoided him entirely, but she was forced to understand him. Ashlyn taught Taylor how to dance. According to Red's story, she can perfectly mimic any accent/sound but doesn't enjoy showing said skill off. Ashlyn is a ballerina and very flexible. Red confirms that she isn't sure whether Ashlyn has romantic feelings for Aiden or not, but confirms that she's protective of him because his antics are always in her line of sight.
Aiden Clark: "Aren't you one to talk? You're the one that brushed it off as a prank and walked off. If she had said anything, would you have even believed her? With your personality, I seriously doubt it." -Aiden Clark Aiden Clark is a protagonist in School Bus Graveyard. He debuted in Episode 1, and is an incredibly eccentric teenage boy, notable by the fact he's always seen smiling. Physical Appearance Aiden Clark is an average height boy, standing at 5'4. He has tan skin and crimson red eyes but has been seen with dark brown eyes as a child. He has incredibly thin black brows. He has blonde hair that fluffs out around his head, and bangs that swirl to the right side of his head. It's canon that his hair was black. He's usually seen wearing clothes with smiley faces on them. In the phantom dimension, he can be seen wearing the black protective suit that he purchased. Personality Aiden is an incredibly talkative boy, seen yapping Ashlyn's ears off when they first meet. He's also seen as a thrill seeker, as he enjoys things such as skydiving, racing, and other activities. He also turns around and sprays a phantom in the eyes when he, Ben, and Ashlyn are being chased. He's unafraid to talk down to others, as seen when he butts heads with Tyler after Tyler begins to yell at Ashlyn. Relationships Daniel Clark Daniel is Aiden's father. Not much is known about him, but he at first, believed that what the children were going through was just similar to "stories told around a campfire", not reality. It's inferred that he and Jessica are authors, as Jessica said she hasn't been "This stressed since our publisher accidentally printed another 10,000 copies", to which Daniel replies "Agreed". Jessica Clark Jessica is Aiden's mother. Not much is known about her, but once Mike and Emma reveal what happened during Ashlyn's birth, Jessica is quick to blame her for everything that's been happening. It's inferred that Jessica and Daniel are authors, as Jessica says she hasn't been "This stressed since our publisher accidentally printed another 10,000 copies". Ben Clark Ben is Aiden's cousin. Ben is usually seen around Aiden, since he (Ashlyn's words) doesn't know what else to do with himself. Aiden seems protective of Ben, despite Ben not needing it. Ben has been living with Aiden and his family ever since a gang-related incident that caused him to need to move. Lily Clark Lily is Aiden's younger cousin. Lily is shown to be an optimistic little girl who looks up to her big brother Ben. Aiden attempts to catch a rabbit for Lily, and she seems to enjoy hide and seek. Taylor Hernandez Taylor and Aiden show to be rather similar when it comes to personality, and later on in the series become what many fans speculate is "Best friends". In official art, they're shown in front of (Aiden) and on top of (Taylor) a fridge with the caption "what the hell does girl dinner mean?". In one episode, Aiden chases Taylor in a wacky way during what is presumably a race like they had recommended. Together, they're shown in a panel playing video games. They also do Ashlyn's hair into a slicked back ponytail, and in even more official art by Red, Taylor has Aiden up on her shoulders. She's also the one who pushes him in the wheelchair when he's injured, and helps him up off of Ashlyn. Ashlyn Banner Ashlyn caught Aiden's eyes the second she got on the bus. He believes they should be friends due to the fact they live near one another. He seems to genuinely care and worry for Ashlyn, as when she's grabbed by a phantom he gets on the roof whilst injured to rescue her. Alongside this, he is only ever seen frowning when Ashlyn is in danger. Tyler Hernandez Aiden seems to have a love/hate relationship with Tyler. They clash almost as much as Ashlyn and Tyler do. Aiden calls Tyler names like "Halfwit", "Idiot", and other related names. However, he genuinely cares for Tyler, as he comments about Tyler being stupid because he might bleed out due to ripping the IV out of his arm. Trivia Aiden canonically has ADHD. Aiden's hair is naturally black, and his eyes naturally brown. Red said on her Instagram story that Aiden can speak backwards. Aiden said in a certain episode that "The adrenaline was nice" after dying. It can be implied that Aiden was depressed/suicidal. Aiden often does his stunts in Ashlyn's line of sight.
Ben Clark: Ben is mute throughout the series and therefore has no quotes yet. Ben Clark is a protagonist in School Bus Graveyard. He debuted in Episode 1, and is known for being quiet. Physical Appearance Ben Clark is a tall boy, standing at 6'0. He has tan skin and light brown eyes, with thick black eyebrows. He has short spiked hair that is greyish brown in color. He's usually seen wearing the same dark grey shirt and a pair of jeans. In the phantom dimension, he can be seen wearing the black protective suit that was purchased by Aiden. Personality Ben is a quiet boy. He seems to have a good heart, often caring for his friends. Ben used to be known as a gentle giant who loved to sing. However, that changed after Shane, one of Ben's bullies, choked him to the point of voice box damage. After this incident, he became selectively mute and got into street fighting to tale out the anger he has for Shane, which eventually led to him fighting (And winning) against a boy related to a gang member. Due to this, he and his family ended up in danger- Which caused Ben to have to move in with his cousin's family. He can roughly speak, he just dislikes his voice, so he doesn't. He tends to listen to music often, enjoying it, whilst also attempting to avoid anything that may trigger trauma or an anger meltdown. He carries a sketchbook around. His therapist told him to carry it with the intent to draw and release any anger he may inhabit, but he instead uses it to write his thoughts and express them to the group without speaking. Relationships William Clark William is Ben's father. He, as noted by Lily, is good with injury. Naomi Clark Naomi is Ben's mother. She is friendly and the voice of reason between she and her sister Jessica. Jessica Clark She calls Ben "Benny" instead of just Ben. Aiden Clark Ben's cousin. He always follows Aiden around, since he usually doesn't do much else. Aiden serves as a way to keep Ben under control, as Aiden states he has anger issues. Lily Clark Ben's younger sister. It's clear they have a close-knit relationship, as after a while of seeing phantoms alongside she and Ben's parents (William and Naomi Clark) Lily states that she's ready to fight them, since she's strong like Ben. Ashlyn Banner Ben wraps up Ashlyn when she's injured, and tends to share her views on things, such as when Aiden wanted to stay back to fight the phantoms, and he turned around with Ashlyn (Although silent) to tell Aiden to just leave it. other then that they dont really speak, in a flashback ben is doing something to ashlyn's braids Taylor Hernandez Ben seems to have a minor crush on Taylor, likely caused from her kindness towards him, such as when she told him his barbed wire idea was good, how she comforts him when things go wrong, worries for his physical and mental health, and asked to listen to music with him. Likewise, when Aiden told the group about Ben's reason for selective mutism, Taylor was the first to thank him for allowing the story to be told. Trivia Ben's mutism is selective. Aiden says that he can talk, but doesn't like the sound of his damaged voice, so he just doesn't. Ben has the entire first season of Danny Phantom memorized. Ben sang as a child, so it can be inferred he's musically apt.
Taylor Hernandez: "While you were laughing around the campfire, I watched my brother take a nosedive off a cliff as that thing tried to kill us! If you don't believe us now... Then what are you going to do when one day it's your kid that doesn't wake up!" -Taylor Hernandez Taylor Hernandez is a protagonist in School Bus Graveyard. She debuted in Episode 1, and is an incredibly sweet teenage girl. She's always seen around her twin brother Tyler. Physical Appearance Taylor Hernandez is a slightly taller than average girl, standing at 5'6. She has caramel colored skin and shorter worried eyebrows and chocolate brown eyes with visible lashes. She has chest length chocolate brown hair with bangs that swirl to the right side of her head. Her hair spikes out slightly similar to her twin brother, Tyler. She's often seen matching outfits with her brother Tyler, but she often wears casual clothes such as a T-shirt and shorts, or a long-sleeve and leggings. In the park shenanigans art posted by Red, she's seen wearing a grey sweater and black sweatpants with two white stripes down the sides. In the phantom dimension, she can be seen wearing the black protective suit that was purchased by Aiden. Personality Taylor is an incredibly sweet girl who is often helping her groupmates feel better after they go through something. She seems to freeze when scared initially, but has grown out of that habit. She shows an interest in mechanics, as she's in the mechanics club at her school. She shows a low tolerance for difficult situations, as she started crying the first night of being sent to the phantom dimension. After a while though, she gains the bravery to turn around and join Logan when he starts shooting at the phantom centipede. She's usually hanging out with her brother and his friends. Later on in the series, it's shown that Taylor Hernandez isn't nearly as timid as we may originally have thought, proving to be more similar to Aiden in personality, practically clicking with him when it comes to activities like... Racing around the facility to see what the best escape route is, and yapping with him about an unserious topic during a serious moment much to Ashlyn's annoyance. Relationships Ethan Hernandez Taylor's late father. It's inferred that he took care of the entire family. Mariana Hernandez Taylor's mother. Despite her being somewhat mentally ill, it's clear she cares a great deal for her children, as for a moment she snaps out of what seems to be the delusion her husband is alive just to comfort Taylor after Tyler was incapacitated. Tyler Hernandez Taylor's twin brother. He's incredibly protective of her, and they're often seen around eachother and matching clothes. They're polar opposites, Tyler being abrasive and hotheaded whilst Taylor is kind and calm. Tyler also has been the sole provider for Taylor and their mother ever since he and Taylor's father died. Ben Clark Taylor is seen to have a soft spot for Ben. She is often seen trying to cheer him up when he's down, and asks to listen to music with him. She also thanks him for allowing Aiden to tell the group about his mutism. Ashlyn Banner Taylor's known of Ashlyn's introversion for a very long time. She wonders if Ashlyn being alone is lonely (Of course it is), and when finally talking with Ashlyn, notes that she's hard to talk to. Aside from this, she's constantly being dragged out of situations by Ashlyn after freezing, and after Ashlyn's "Moment" (As she called it) was the first to apologize and try to cheer Ashlyn up. Ashlyn rescues Taylor when they are getting kidnapped, throwing a desk at the man who had chloroformed her. Eventually, Ashlyn can be seen getting in front of her in a protective manner when Mr. Thomas corners them. Aiden Clark Taylor and Aiden show to be rather similar when it comes to personality, and later on in the series become what many fans speculate is "Best friends". Trivia Taylor is a mechanic, she's a part of the mechanics club. Taylor welds, and sells her creations on eBay. Taylor shows signs of severe abandonment issues, but it's not confirmed. Taylor is socially apt, and helped Logan with a "Formula" for socializing. Taylor knows how to dance because of Ashlyn.
Tyler Hernandez: "Whether I would have believed her or not, she should have said something! Now we're stuck in some demonic dimension running away from flesh-eating deadly creatures! I've lost count of how many near-death experiences I've had, none of us have slept in days, we can't tell our parents or anybody" -Tyler Hernandez Tyler Hernandez is a protagonist in School Bus Graveyard. He debuted in Episode 1, and is an incredibly abrasive and grumpy teenage boy. He's always seen around his twin sister Taylor. Physical Appearance Tyler Hernandez is a tall boy, standing at 5'10. He has caramel colored skin and thin angry eyebrows and chocolate brown eyes. He has short chocolate brown hair with bangs that swirl to the right side of his head. His hair spikes out slightly similar to his twin sister, Taylor. He's often seen matching outfits with his sister Taylor, but he often wears casual clothes such as a T-shirt and jeans, often wearing a varsity jacket over them. In the phantom dimension, he can be seen wearing the black protective suit that was purchased by Aiden. Personality Tyler is an abrasive boy with a short fuse and what seems to be anger issues. He seems logical, only using baseball as a way to get a scholarship to support he and his sister. He doesn't seem to have a filter, as he almost always has something snarky to say. Relationships Ethan Hernandez Tyler's late father. He can be seen playing baseball with Tyler in a flashback. It's inferred that he took care of the entire family. Mariana Hernandez Tyler's mother. Despite her being somewhat mentally ill, it's clear she cares a great deal for her children, as she stays with Tyler after he's been incapacitated in the phantom dimension. Taylor Hernandez Tyler's twin sister. Tyler is often protective of her, as he took the position of caretaker after their father died. They're polar opposites, Tyler being abrasive and hotheaded whilst Taylor is kind and calm. Taylor seems to be the only person that can truly get to Tyler, and the only person he'll genuinely listen to. When he was hospitalized and heard Taylor yell his name, he fought four nurses and ripped the IV out of his arm just to get to her. Once he gets there, he's seen holding her, and doesn't let go, even after the nurses arrive to get him back to his room. Ashlyn Banner Tyler is seen constantly clashing with Ashlyn, although it's clear he cares for her, as he carries her when she's injured. Ashlyn seems to have incredibly low patience with him, as they argue often in the series, most prominently when he blames her for the incident, and she tells him that if he won't make himself useful, he should make himself scarce. He also instantly starts an argument with her when the keys aren't in the Jeep during the mission to get the Jeep. Aiden Clark Aiden seems to have a love/hate relationship with Tyler. They clash almost as much as Ashlyn and Tyler do. Aiden calls Tyler names like "Halfwit", "Idiot", and other related names. Aiden often enables Tyler, as when he escalated a situation by saying that if Ashlyn had brought up the phantom, Tyler wouldn't have even believed her due to his personality. Despite this, they seem to care for each other, as Tyler helps Aiden reach the roof when he wants to rescue Ashlyn, and when Aiden commented about Tyler bleeding out when he ripped his IV out. Logan Fields He isn't particularly close to Logan, but he does threaten to tell the coach that Barron's been mistreating Logan if he continues. Up until Logan was taught self-defense by Mr. and Mrs. Banner, Tyler was the only force keeping Barron away from Logan. Trivia Tyler can play the (Acoustic) guitar. Tyler is often seen obsessing over baseball, but does he like it? Nope! He only does it for a scholarship; His true passion is hairstyling and piercing. Tyler did his and Taylor's hair. Tyler pierced he and Taylor's ears. Tyler helps Aiden dye his hair; He was "destroying" it. Tyler is good at cooking; In Red's words, he's a "Five star chef". Red says Tyler's secret talent is using a pogo stick.
Logan Fields: "Focus. It's okay, it's just like looking through a telescope. That's all this is, a telescope. A very deadly, scary telescope." -Logan Fields Logan Fields is a protagonist in School Bus Graveyard. He debuted in Episode 1, and is an astronomy loving teenage boy. He's usually seen being bullied by Barron. Physical Appearance Logan Fields is a thin boy with an average height, standing at 5'6. He's pale in color, and has diamond blue eyes and black framed glasses. He has thin black eyebrows. He has light reddish brown hair that lays flat on his head, with bangs that cover the majority of his forehead. He's often seen wearing clothes that match the academia aesthetic, or just casualwear such as turtlenecks and jeans. Later in the series, he's seen without his glasses. In the phantom dimension, he can be seen wearing the black protective suit that was purchased by Aiden. Personality Logan is initially timid, shy and jumpy. He got bullied by Barron and his friends up until Tyler threatened to tell on Barron. Logan eventually, due to being exposed to the phantom dimension nightly, realized (With the help of Tyler) that if he had to put up with and face phantoms every night, he could face Barron. So, after being given self-defense training by Mr. and Mrs. Banner, he finally takes Barron down. His personality seems to harden, and he seems much less timid and jumpy than he used to, even taking initiative during a certain situation in one of the fast pass episodes. Ashlyn's leadership skills seem to have rubbed off on Logan at some point. Relationships James Fields Logan's grandfather. Like his grandmother, his grandfather seems to have a good idea of when Logan is/isn't doing well mentally. When the kids tell their parents what's been happening, he says that they should believe the kids, since they've also been seeing the same things. Mary Fields Logan's grandmother. Like his grandfather, his grandmother seems to have a good idea of when Logan is/isn't doing well mentally. Tyler Hernandez He isn't particularly close to Tyler, but Tyler does threaten to tell the coach that Barron's been mistreating Logan if he continues to bully him. Up until Logan was taught self-defense by Mr. and Mrs. Banner, Tyler was the only force keeping Barron away from Logan. Logan seems thankful for Tyler's actions. Ben Clark They don't interact often, but there was ship art of them released by Red. Ashlyn Banner Logan first sees Ashlyn when he drops his schedule and she picks it up. He, despite being afraid, saved her when her life was in danger by shooting the phantom that was about to kill her. When Ashlyn is worried about splitting up when Logan wants to deal with the bullies alone, she instantly grabs his hand and yells "No!" before saying they stay together. Afterwards, Logan holds Ashlyn's hand to try to calm her down, and agrees to sticking together. In a certain episode, Ashlyn and Logan hug, making Logan the second person Ashlyn has hugged aside from her parents. Barron Barron and Logan used to be Barron's 'friend' but Barron only used him for work and other stuff. He would make Logan think he's having a hard time and some sob story and Logan would feel bad, which is shown in a flash back. Eventually, Barron started getting physical and started beating Logan if something went wrong. Tyler then stepped in the way of both of them and Barron stopped picking on Logan, but in the arcade, Logan finally stood up for himself by confronting him and helping Noah. Then he pins Barron to the ground, and he becomes a phantom or something. Then, he beats them up with the help of the other protagonists. Trivia Logan is socially inept (Not as severely as Aiden and Ashlyn though) Logan has OCD Logan requires formulas to understand anything; Due to this, Taylor helped him come up with a formula for socializing. Logan can clover-leaf his tongue. Logan's parents have only ever been mentioned by Barron. Other than the "Not even your parents want you" comment, they're completely unmentioned.
The walls of the Bus Graveyard are around 8 feet tall concrete walls with visible fissure in some places. Outside of the wall are few heavily graffitied busses and some wood stacks, alongside some green barrels. There's a metal door that grants people access to the interior of the junkyard, showing a wooden shed and a ton of abandoned buses that are heavily graffitied and have broken down. There are a multitude of other things within the graveyard such as a firepit and benches made of wooden planks and/or tires.

- #1Phantoms
Keys: Phantom, Phantoms, Evil, Enemy, Antagonist, Monster, Monsters
Phantoms The main antagonists of School Bus Graveyard; Demonic creatures that constantly try to kill the main six. First appeared in Episode 1. First Appearance Phantoms first appeared in Episode 1, pursuing the main six through Ashlyn's backyard to the school bus graveyard. Despite the group barely managing to avoid it, the phantom chasing them still manages to get inside by climbing the school bus graveyard's walls. Physical Appearance Human-like black creatures with sunken in, glowing white eyes and a bright white permanent smile. They seem starved, and have long, sharp claws. They don't seem to react well to light. They are much smaller than their counterparts known as phantom centipedes. Personality They seem entirely braindead, but are capable of fundamental skills, such as climbing, attacking, running, and being distracted by noises such as music. It is unknown whether or not they will attempt to eat what they have killed, as it hasn't been tested yet. They are capable of hearing and seeing their targets, and behave in a zombielike manner.
Phantom Centepedes One of the antagonists in School Bus Graveyard. After the group strayed too far from the Graveyard, this creature appeared and began to chase them. Physical Appearance A massive creature resembling a centipede. There are visible veins and muscle on the creature. It has sunken in black eyes (Or no eyes at all) and razor-like teeth that can be seen in its open, circular mouth. It's been noted by Tyler that the groups small lights likely won't do much against it. Personality Similar to phantoms, the phantom centipede is capable of fundamental skills, such as chasing, spotting targets, being aware of how to break things down, and a mysteriously instinctual sense of where the group is at (Shown when it instantly finds the group within the school).
- #2Phan Dimension
Keys: Phantom Dimension, Dimension, Phantom, Night, Late, Dark, Moon, Nightmare, Evil, Phantoms, Monsters
The Phantom Dimension is the dimension they are transferred to at midnight every night.
Description The phantom dimension is a mirror of the real world, except very clearly different. The main difference is the eeriness which is intensified by the bright blood red sky, dark clouds, and yellow moon. All time in the real world stops, and people outside of the main group disappear when the group is transported here. As seen in the image, there are certain inhabitants that make this place deadly. The main group is sent here every night at 12:00, forced to survive their brutal fight for survival here for 7 hours, and when 7 hours is up, the time in the Human Dimension would resume from 12:00 midnight. Laws/Facts Any injury obtained in the phantom dimension can be seen in the phantom dimension only. In the regular dimension, the injury can be felt but not seen. Likewise, when Tyler is impaled and Aiden is crushed, they take longer to wake up due to the fact they have died in the phantom dimension. Phantoms can die and can be injured similarly to humans. Their voices and screams seem to be at a high enough decibel to where only Ashlyn can hear them. Phantoms lose their form when presented with light. It doesn’t kill them, but rather acts as an obstacle to them. This doesn’t work on the centipede phantom though, as light would be nothing but a mere annoyance to it. Phantoms seem to behave as zombies would in a zombie apocalypse, however they seem to have no interest in eating their prey- Just rather shredding and killing the prey. Going too far in real life changes the group’s position in the phantom dimension. Going too far from the position they’re in within the real world whilst in the phantom dimension will cause the area farther from the position to change and become nothing like what they see in the real world. Anything that happens in the phantom dimension doesn’t show in the regular dimension, but anything that happens in the regular dimension shows in the phantom dimension. Unfortunately, changes do not show up, as the upgraded Jeep doesn’t show in the phantom dimension. Rifts are seemingly in mostly abandoned places. This can be seen near the vine covered building where Ashlyn was born, and the Sorrel Weed house. This doesn’t mean that rifts don’t follow the group around, because they do– This is shown when they fight Logan’s bullies, and they begin to make phantom noises whilst fighting– And a flash of the phantom dimension shows. Phantoms can appear in the real world and injure you in the real world. This is shown when Ashlyn was born, and a phantom attacks Michael Banner, her father, giving him an iconic neck-to-cheek scar we see throughout the entire series. The people infected with the fungi seem to have an attraction to Ashlyn. Likewise, she returned their unsettling smile to them. This may hint to Ashlyn having a connection to them. The group always continues where they left off in the phantom dimension, unless rule 5 is in motion. If one member of the group is affected badly enough to enter an infected-like state (The more aggressive phantom-like behavior), everyone will seem to know, almost as if the six are spiritually connected.
