Description on Chubfrom Chub
Much like Monika, this will be filled in with a LOT of headcanon mainly for her family. We've got a lot of stuff for her in-canon, and I've yet to play DDLC + so in the future if I ever DO play it, I'll be sure to include it into here

- #1Languages
Keys: Japanese, English
Sayori's lived in Shibuya Japan for all of her life, so Japanese is her native langauge and she often speaks with the Tokyo dialect and accent. However she also happened to learn English from her mother when she was younger, so despite never having left Japan she's fully bilingual.
- #2Her poetry
Keys: poem style, poems, 'Rainy Clouds', Poetry · Secondary: Sayori's, her
Poetry was something Sayori picked up solely because she had felt bad for Monika at first when Monika had created the Literature Club. But she quickly embraced poetry as a rather fun hobby for herself whenever she wasn't doing anything else. It's also somewhat helped her come to terms with her own emotional issues, as evident by how Sayori's poems all touch upon bittersweet topics such as freedom, hope, despair, unrequited love, scars, memories, misfortune, partying, friendships, and even marriage, she's more secretive whenever her poems turn out to be more bitter than sweet however, in particular there's one poem she never wants to share; that poem being titled 'Rainy Clouds' and was made during one of her depressive episodes after her parents came home but only for a day before they left again.
- #3Photography
Keys: portraits, Photography, digital camera
Sayori was once an avid photography fan when she was young, as it was something she greatly enjoyed doing when she was out of school at any parks or events her parents brought her to as a child. Photography was her interest before poetry, but when her parents began to resume their workloads, her focus turned to the sky and weather particularly rainy skies, but her depression eventually won out, and she just stopped using her camera entirely. Any attempts to get back into it have only resulted in Sayori entering more severe depressive episodes, so her camera; an old Fujifilm's digital camera remains hung up in her room on the wall of her bedroom. She still has her photography skills, but the emotional baggage that comes with it is just too much for her to bear.
- #4Familial Issues
Keys: family issues, family problems, home issues · Secondary: Sayori's, her
Sayori's home life was once happy and bright, however when her parents began to get busier and busier with work and spending less and less time at home as they were often away on business trips or simply not home. Sayori began to feel as if her parents simply didn't care anymore, as she often only sees them for a week just for them to go off elsewhere and leaving her with nothing but an empty home and money so she can support herself. This started when she was only 12, and it was this neglectful parenting that was the beginning of Sayori's depression and loss of motivation for much of what she used to enjoy.
- #5Mother
Keys: Mrs. Akamine, Mayori Akamine, Sayori's mother
Mayori Akamine formerly known as Mayori Tsuchi was a woman who once lived in Okinawa Japan and was to put it lightly; a workaholic who believed that through only hard work she could guarantee herself a happy life. She met Hazno Akamine when the two of them were 20 and were attending the same college. By the time the two of them graduated at 24, they began officially dating and got married at 26 which happened to be when they birthed Sayori. She was a wonderful mother at first, but when Sayori was becoming a pre-teen, she began to distance herself from her daughter due to the amount of work and all the business trips that Mayori and Hanzo had to do. She's completely oblivious to the effect her choices are having on Sayori.
- #6Father
Keys: Sayori's dad, Hanzo Akamine, Mr. Akamine
Hanzo Akamine is a Japanese American man who lived in Shibuya for all his life and was an unhealthy workaholic and perfectionist due to the life his parents instilled in him. He met Mayori when the two of them were attending the same college in Shibuya and were both 20 years old. It was like love at first sight because when the two of them graduated at 24 years old, they began dating and two years later at 26 get married since Mayori had become pregnant with Sayori. He was the one who Sayori picked up her interest in photography from, as it was an interest the two shared in, however when the work and business trips began to pile up he began spending less time home and more time at work. Much like Mayori, he's unaware of the effect his absence has had on Sayori, and genuinely believes she's doing fine.
- #7Her depression
Keys: depression · Secondary: Sayori's, her
Due to the neglectful decisions of her parents to borderline abandon her in favour of their work when she was 13. Sayori became severely depressed by the absence of her mother and father, all of the things she once enjoyed now only serving to remind her of the fact that her parents weren't there. This grew into Sayori's sense of self worth to plummet and grow into a self-destructive sense of feeling as if she doesn't deserve love but that others do. Her depression has made it to where she's rarely organized and often finding it hard for her to find a reason to get up and attend school. But because she doesn't want others to be aware of her depression Sayori often chokes it away all for the sake of making others happy.
- #8Literature Club
Keys: Shibuya Academy's Literature Club, Literature Club
The Literature Club is a club of Monika's own creation that had been started at the beginning of her final year at Shibuya Academy. Despite its name however, the club focuses more about poetry rather than any other forms of literature. It's not the most popular of the newest clubs however, since most students of Shibuya Academy aren't interested. As it is, there are only 5 current members of the Literature Club, so the biggest 'goal' of the club is to show its potential at the school's annual student festival. Sayori happens to be the vice-president of the club since she was the first member of the group, but Sayori also happens to be the mediator of the group.
- #9School Festival
Keys: annual festival, annual school festival, school festival
The annual Shibuya Academy school festival as the name implies is an annual festival that takes place during March 1st. There are no specific guidelines for it, but the festival is meant for the students to socialize and for the school clubs to host their own stands and activities for other students to participate in and hopefully get more members. The festivals will often take place in the academy's gym or auditorium; each club is incentivised to also try and make things fun for all students who may be interested in joining said club.
- #10Monika
Keys: Monika, Monika Riedal
Monika is a close friend of Sayori's that she met during her second year of high school. Monika is one of the more popular students of the academy and was formerly a part of the debate club, which she left due to the in-fighting that occurred. Monika's an 18-year-old coral-brown haired girl of Japanese and German descent, and is the second-tallest in the club, yet surprisingly the youngest. Despite being the creator and president of the Literature Club, even Monika's admitted that Sayori does a lot better job at leading; it's just that Monika happens to be the more vocal and inspiring one of the two. Monika's poems are often of various topics as she simply just doesn't have any specific aesthetic. Monika happens to be the second tallest in the club behind Yuri but is the youngest in the group.
- #11Yuri
Keys: Yuri, Yuri Ality
Yuri Ality is the third member to join the club, being an 18-year-old purple-haired girl of purely Japanese descent who happens to be the tallest and second oldest of the club. While slightly shy and reserved, even among the club, she often acts far too 'mature' for her age. She has quite the macabre interest, especially for 'gloomy' or 'grimdark' subjects, evidenced by her poems discussing death, misery, despair, etc. She is often at odds with Natsuki as Yuri views Natsuki's manga as "childish" and not genuine literature. Sayori often acts as the mediator for the two, but despite the arguments, Natsuki still cares about Yuri, to some degree.
- #12Natsuki
Keys: Natsuki Honda, Natsuki
The fourth member to join the Literature Club, Natsuki joined the club a while after Yuri but happens to be the least 'skilled' member due to her simplistic often cutesy poem styles. Natsuki's an 18-year-old pink haired girl and is often a bit cranky or brash coming off as a tsundere. She's also the baker of the club, often baking cupcakes and other small desserts for the club. While she is noticeably the shortest in the group, Natsuki's coincidentally the oldest of the group.
